That theory doesn't really apply in your last at bats down by two. KK isn't a HR threat so regardless if Merrifield got on, we needed someone to get on base, period.

I hope this is the last year of rope they give Biggio. We need him to pick up his game offensively, he's been here long enough. We need to upgrade his role in the off season if he underperforms again this year.
