Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 12, 2023 Posted April 12, 2023 Comeback fastball to lefties seems like a s*** pitch Never? Most give up early. Great pitch.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted April 12, 2023 Posted April 12, 2023 That was a pretty brutal at bat with Torkelson there
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted April 12, 2023 Posted April 12, 2023 I think it's fair to say Manoah sucks under pressure, like season openers and home openers. At least that's what I hope it is. He had a 0.88 ERA in Sept/Oct in a tight playoff race last year. It's not like he chokes under every pressure situation.
Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted April 12, 2023 Posted April 12, 2023 Bo looking a lot more comfortable on these shallow popups. No ill-effects from last season.
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted April 12, 2023 Posted April 12, 2023 Is there a countdown clock somewhere that the pitchers can see?
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 12, 2023 Posted April 12, 2023 That' soft man. Guys gotta be seen as a joke to his teammates.
DigitalRock Old-Timey Member Posted April 12, 2023 Posted April 12, 2023 How is he so bad to start the season? Lack of preparation?
Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted April 12, 2023 Posted April 12, 2023 Maybe they need to put DJ with Manoah next start and get a different perspective.
glory Old-Timey Member Posted April 12, 2023 Posted April 12, 2023 Jays definitely need to add a legit long reliever. Pen won't make it to July at this pace. Mitch White is needed.
Laika Community Moderator Posted April 12, 2023 Posted April 12, 2023 Can we talk about his velocity being way down yet?
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 12, 2023 Posted April 12, 2023 lmao since when? I've never heard of this before. Unless someone's institutionalized or something, it seems pretty soft. lol... holy f***.
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted April 12, 2023 Posted April 12, 2023 Can we talk about his velocity being way down yet? SSS right?
Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted April 12, 2023 Posted April 12, 2023 Can we talk about his velocity being way down yet? If he didn't walk 5 batters and make a bunch of stupid mental errors then it wouldn't really be a problem.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted April 12, 2023 Posted April 12, 2023 Maybe they need to put DJ with Manoah next start and get a different perspective. This. Kirk and he has been off the entire time that Kirk has been back. Not the main issue, but isn't helping
Chappythegoat Verified Member Posted April 12, 2023 Posted April 12, 2023 Fat POS manoah needs to put the Cheetos down and get in shape. Imagine when/if he gets a big contract from a team(hopefully not us). He’s going to completely give up.
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted April 12, 2023 Posted April 12, 2023 Feels like when Manoah doesn't have it locked in the clock is really gonna give him fits.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted April 12, 2023 Posted April 12, 2023 Manoah is lucky Schoop didn’t hammer that pitch, middle-middle
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 12, 2023 Posted April 12, 2023 One thing about Alek. He's got the balls to pitch out of a jam. As I said before, people got their expectations out of whack because of his ERA last year but he's more of a good 3/4 type guy, he's miscast as a number one for sure. Or is he a FIP beater???
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted April 12, 2023 Posted April 12, 2023 Can we talk about his velocity being way down yet? He was hitting 95 and 96 on opening day, so that should be part of the conversation?
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted April 12, 2023 Posted April 12, 2023 Can we talk about his velocity being way down yet? Is 0.5 and 0.8 a lot
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted April 12, 2023 Posted April 12, 2023 Need a big inning on offense
Governator Community Moderator Posted April 12, 2023 Posted April 12, 2023 He had a 0.88 ERA in Sept/Oct in a tight playoff race last year. It's not like he chokes under every pressure situation. Hes still young with a lot of weight on his shoulders. Pressure he probably felt being named season and home opener starter. Gausman probably handles it better with experience.

Imagine when/if he gets a big contract from a team(hopefully not us). He’s going to completely give up. He was Top 3 in Cy Young voting last season while feasting on Cheetos all season long.
el duque Verified Member Posted April 12, 2023 Posted April 12, 2023 Can we talk about his velocity being way down yet? My take is that a few pounds more is affecting mechanics and mobility, he should adjust to his new weight and he will be OK
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 12, 2023 Posted April 12, 2023 Yes it is you are an idiot are you stuck in 1980? lol... I thought it was a slow troll, it became hillbilly.
DigitalRock Old-Timey Member Posted April 12, 2023 Posted April 12, 2023 Meh swinging at bad pitches both Bo and springer
Chappythegoat Verified Member Posted April 12, 2023 Posted April 12, 2023 Manoah is another crybaby that would rather throw sissy fits on Twitter than improve his game. Just another clown like stroman.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 12, 2023 Posted April 12, 2023 Too much “playoffs will be easy to make” tug fest this offseason I think Jays will be a WC (which I stuck to all last season when others bailed) But way too much knob slobbing this off-season and talking down NY and Tam lol... quit fishing, fool.
Arjun Nimmala Vancouver Canadians - A+ SS It's been slow going at the start of the season for Nimmala, but on Sunday, he was 3-for-5 with his 3rd home run and 3 RBI. Explore Arjun Nimmala News >
