Perhaps for the 2nd half of the season, what would people think about introducing bonus points for HR's of certain length?

 

Like... anything over 425 feet... bonus point. Anything over 450, 2 bonus points.... 475, 3 bonus points

 

all would be in addition to the current bonuses already there. Not sure if those distances even make sense, but as a general idea... how about it?

We use to give bonus points for the furthest home run hit each week. It started alright but I got sick of keeping track.. but if someone else is dedicated enough!

Other bonus points we use to do on select days but eventually got voted down to keep things simple.

 

Which inning will Jays hit a home run (pick one) (+1)

How many total Jays runs scored off home runs? (+1)

How many Jays home runs that day (+1)

Pick two Jays

Pick which team hits a home run first (+1)

Pick a Blue Jay and an opponent player

Longest home run of that week (+2)

Home Run Derby winner (+6) for 1 pick or (+3) for 2 picks

All-Star Game (Pick 1 player to hit a home run) (+5)

With bonus on distance per game, it's easy to keep track of, Savant does all the work and it's available within seconds of the HR, we'd really just have to decide what distances and bonus points might apply. i think going back over the week was probably the tedious part there
