John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted January 13, 2023 Posted January 13, 2023 Oh, was he taken out of the HOF? Damn, I should know this. No he's still in the Hall, he just can't do anything anymore for MLB and will be banned from all MLB related functions.

John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted January 14, 2023 Posted January 14, 2023 Fun facts about # 31 for the Jays, starting in 2006 with Ted Lilly, there were 11 different players that wore #31 until 2016 when Joe Biagini grabbed it for 4 consecutive seasons. The household names on the list include Ted Lilly, Victor Zambrano, John Parrish, Kyle Phillips, Shawn Hill, Brandon Lyon, Andy LaRoche, Kendall Graveman, Erik Kratz, Liam Hendriks and of course Joe Biagini. 1st players to wear 31 for the Jays were Dave Baker and Ken Schrom, who both wore it in 1982, and is currently worn by Thomas Hatch when he is actually with the club and not sucking in Buffalo.
The_DH Verified Member Posted January 14, 2023 Posted January 14, 2023 Duane Ward was one of the first 3 pitchers (along with Eichhorn and Henke) in a bullpen that was for real. Before them it was 7 innings of good starter and then pray for rain. So to me he's one of the more important #31's. Lilly was okay. Person was a mistake. And to Pendleton, love this thread.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted January 15, 2023 Posted January 15, 2023 Todays random facts about #30 for the Jays…1st player to wear it was Pete Vukevich in 1977, and currently it’s being stretched out by Alejandro Kirk. This number has multiple years where multiple players wore the number in the same season. 2000 it was worn by both Frank and Alberto Castillo. 2010: Taylor Buchholz and Dana Eveland 2016: Danny Barnes, Jesse Chavez and Dioner Navarro 2020: Anthony Alford and Jonathan Villar

They wanted to make a spot for this kid who put up an ERA over 10. I can't remember if it worked out or not...
The_DH Verified Member Posted January 16, 2023 Posted January 16, 2023 Okay, I'm good now... The best all-around outfielder we've ever had. And we've had some great outfielders.
