deanmike Verified Member Posted October 12, 2023 Posted October 12, 2023 Payroll shouldn't be going down, they're not going to rebuild this winter, reading between the lines we'll likely see new hitting coaches brought on. When he was asked about Bichette and Guerrero extensions his answers was more about staying competitive and sustaining the window to win so it wouldn't surprise me to see the possibility of them being traded in the next 12-15 months. The day Vlad ever gets jettisoned from this organization will be one of my favourite days as a Blue Jays fan.

L54 Old-Timey Member Posted October 12, 2023 Posted October 12, 2023 Wtf was with Shi? It’s like he was high in public speaking class Hopefully he’s actually okay or that was a bad joke

When the entire batting lineup hit like ass (aside from Bo), I'm going to believe it was an organizational approach to hitting that could have been a problem. You only trade Vlad if someone is willing to trade for the 2021 version, which I doubt. You just bank on him being able to turn it around otherwise.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted October 12, 2023 Posted October 12, 2023 That would be one of my least favourite days as a Blue Jays fan !! If it happened. I'm sure this place would burn to the ground. Ill be laughing with a smile on my face

New hitting coaches for sure. When asked about the offense and the people delivering the info he said he was confident in the process. Nothing about the personnel Hire Dante Bichette

Definitely an organizational problem, but not sure how its fixed if they don't accept its an issue

Payroll not going down is good news 2023 Payroll was like $214M Coming off the books: Chapman $12.5M Ryu $20M Belt $9.3M KK $9M Whit $6.75M Grichuk remainder $4.3M That's what, $60M? Say arbitration raises eat up $15M of it. Still $45M to throw around. And they don't need to buy *much*. A couple bats and an SP5.

connorp Old-Timey Member Posted October 12, 2023 Posted October 12, 2023 It's the worst Toronto Blue Jays reporter (and most of them f***ing suck) Rosie DiManno. I will not speculate how she got the job
L54 Old-Timey Member Posted October 12, 2023 Posted October 12, 2023 Clement was better than Bo and at a fraction of the cost lmao Ya and Biggio was better than Vlad at a fraction of the cost as well Lmao
leaffie Verified Member Posted October 12, 2023 Posted October 12, 2023 His speech was halting, like he couldnt find his words. His left eye was blinking separate from his right Looked confused.
MikeM3 Verified Member Posted October 12, 2023 Posted October 12, 2023 Wish someone would ask about our specific hitting and pitching coordination. Like compare Guillermo to Ecker in Texas or the team of guys in BAL. How they get their swing decisions sent to their phones after the game and stuff like that. How are we going to improve there.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted October 12, 2023 Posted October 12, 2023 Ya and Biggio was better than Vlad at a fraction of the cost as well Lmao Just not at baseball, sure lol

Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted October 12, 2023 Posted October 12, 2023 Clement was better than Bo and at a fraction of the cost lmao Sample size. You can’t be this dense can you

Seems pretty easy to implement. That would be a good question.

Vlad and Bo (not arb but still) increases alone will be close to or more than 15 million. Gausman, Berrios and Bassitt are making a combined 8 million more next year than this. chad Green's option is a nearly 7 million dollar raise
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted October 12, 2023 Author Posted October 12, 2023 So Shapiro says Ross is back, lol. Pathetic. Are you really surprised?
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 12, 2023 Posted October 12, 2023 Are you really surprised? Disappointed.
Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted October 12, 2023 Posted October 12, 2023 Are you really surprised? Gonna be a lot of booing if this team doesn't turn into the 2015 Blue Jays. Quite a high bar to reach lol.
