BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted October 1, 2023 Posted October 1, 2023 That's brutal. What kind of amounts are they betting now? They are scared. They try and minimize it but you can tell they way they are refinancing their houses etc. They won’t say exactly and I don’t ask. I just tell them to get help now. No good can come of it for them. Makes me grateful I have 0 interest in gambling.
max silver Old-Timey Member Posted October 1, 2023 Posted October 1, 2023 How long until a professional athlete gets murdered because of gambling? I hope not, I hope it doesn't come to that but people become desperate and crazy. My money is down on Tommy Pham being involved whether as the victim or the killer.
glory Old-Timey Member Posted October 1, 2023 Posted October 1, 2023 So if Texas and the Astros win tonight the Astros will try and win tomorrow as they can still win the division. Do we tank tomorrow with the potential of losing and taking the 3rd wild card to face the Twins? I hope the boys get loaded tonight if Texas wins! If the Rangers win, then the Jays won't be starting Gausman, and they haven't called up Francis or anyone that could give them length, so the Jays might tank tomorrow regardless in that scenario.

My grandfather threw away a huge chunk of my grandparents retirement into VLTs and I think that formed an early wariness towards gambling for me.

If they miss a goal in the Latin American countries I think they have to go into hiding, along with any extended family
PitaBaby Verified Member Posted October 1, 2023 Posted October 1, 2023 hence the chargeback. But a chargeback is a 1 time mulligan per bank. Can't do it with your bank multiple times unless spread out over multiple years. The offshore gambling sites have absolutely zero repercussion. But maybe these days its different. Never felt bad about it. They always paid me out too when I won. I did pay back 16k CC debt from Vegas blackjack bets. They froze my card but I called in and said to unlock it for 5 mins while I book a flight home, then I took a cash advance for the whole balance. You're still going to have to pay it back. Best thing to do is find a place in Hanoi, really low key.
PitaBaby Verified Member Posted October 1, 2023 Posted October 1, 2023 No. I am talking about chargebacks I did a decade ago. I made bets, lost, then called the bank and said my card was stolen. That money will never be paid back. Unfortunately you are just not a good poster. Nobody likes a scammer. How's that karma treating you now?

John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted October 1, 2023 Author Posted October 1, 2023 5-0 Rangers, top of the 8th… Make that 6-0.

connorp Old-Timey Member Posted October 1, 2023 Posted October 1, 2023 Also, Texas bought themselves into the post-season. Lol @ the haters. Great for baseball. Not even a baseball city
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted October 1, 2023 Posted October 1, 2023 I advise against admitting to felonies on this message board. Lollll
BatFlip Verified Member Posted October 1, 2023 Posted October 1, 2023 I advise against admitting to felonies on this message board. Good advice, but maybe exceptions could be made for the really, really entertaining stories
Masterbather Verified Member Posted October 1, 2023 Posted October 1, 2023 Also, Texas bought themselves into the post-season. Lol @ the haters. Great for baseball. Not even a baseball city I have no problem with them spending, especially since they had young talent on the rise clearly. Don't know if it's great for baseball. They're still f***ed this year because of their pitching anyhow, but I don't really care about them either way I'm just happy they came through for us today!
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted October 1, 2023 Posted October 1, 2023 I also paid white flour prices for almonds at superstore. So looks like cubs are missing the playoffs because of Seiya Suzuki even though he was their best player the last little while. Funny Chris rose did a podcast on it a few days ago how even though its not his fault, it will be like bartman and he will be blamed for dropping that ball. No major leaguer should drop a routine flyball like that
M.E. Verified Member Posted October 1, 2023 Posted October 1, 2023 Lets go Rangers. Don't f*** this up
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted October 1, 2023 Posted October 1, 2023 Very glad Suarez hits one out with the bases empty vs doing it his last at bat
Masterbather Verified Member Posted October 1, 2023 Posted October 1, 2023 No major leaguer should drop a routine flyball like that It got in the lights, s*** happens. We were eliminated from the wild card because Marcus Semien couldn't make the most routine play in baseball. ******** happens sometimes.

It’s good for baseball in the same way when San Diego buys themselves into prominence. The big market BOS, LA, NY etc are always going to be there, so the more mid market cities you can bring into the picture, the better. NFL really did well balancing things out over the years

BTS Community Moderator Posted October 1, 2023 Posted October 1, 2023 That's the 'dogg' talking to himself right? Unsure
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted October 1, 2023 Posted October 1, 2023 That's the 'dogg' talking to himself right? I was assuming it was the same person, yeah
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted October 1, 2023 Posted October 1, 2023 Rangers really got bad break losing Max though. Degrom was kind of expected of course. Max was a good plan B for this year. For playoffs I mean
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted October 1, 2023 Posted October 1, 2023 I miss playing DFS since Ford killed it here in Ontario. I did really well with it, but was never reckless. It actually made it more enjoyable for me to watch the games, whether I won or not. I just don't find the current options at all appealing.
Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted October 1, 2023 Posted October 1, 2023 Rangers and Houston win today means we need Houston to win and Rangers to lose tomorrow. As long we we lose, that's our ticket to playing Minny instead of Tampa
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted October 1, 2023 Posted October 1, 2023 Congratulations Jays. Post season time again!! 2023 Never had a doubt! (Lie)

BatFlip Verified Member Posted October 1, 2023 Posted October 1, 2023 Seems like the right way for this year's team to make the playoffs. Let's make a run! Go Jays!
