He has to be trolling at this point. No way he's that dumb. This was happening all the time under the old rules with the batter calling time up until the very last second.

So you are telling me that clock violations don't add up to those circumstances?

It's actually funny to see how some of you are defending that s***.

No, what he means is, that exact scenario was already happening countless times, so to pretend like its some new thing caused by the pitch clock is f***ing stupid.

In this instance it did happened because of the clock violation and yes, that's new. But keep on denying it.

How many times would you see that happen during a game by the ump calling time because the batter called time?

Apparantly never, its brand new. Pitch clock is to blame for everything.

I think the issue is that we all just forgot that you melted down every time an umpire granted late time.

has one pitcher, ever, in the history of any form of baseball, professional or amateur, or softball, mens or womens, or any form of ball throwing sport including cricket or rounders, in any year whatsoever, going back to the inception of sport and man himself, been injured because an official called time and they had to truncate a throwing motion?

just seems like one of those old dude things "that's an injury waiting to happen" based on literally no precedent

Musgrove broke his toe lifting weights. I guess we should ban players from the weight room since that's clearly another place where an injury is waiting to happen.

I think you're underestimating that possibility.

Prob not

It's why they usually just finish the pitch even if they know it won't be one that counts...

It’ll probably happen less.

You should probably just stop watching and following baseball now because this isn’t going away. Maybe posting as well.

100% first time a player gets injured sliding into 2nd it’ll be because the bases are slightly larger and the distance between them are slightly smaller.

Jackie Bradley Jr got a job again

Royals this time

OPS of .550 on the way. But still positive value thanks to his great D

I believe that he's that dumb.

There's one new rule I agree with JAM, is that I hate a pitcher being limited to 2 throws in an at bat, that's lame, should be 4 at the least. Cat and mouse is gone. Suxxxxxxx

Cat and mouse was stupid like you.

Either go or don’t. Maybe a 2nd throw over at most

Or is it two? Lol. Idk. 2 is enough, no 3rd. Good rule

4 throw overs? Too many

If you throw over a 3rd time - you have to get the runner out. If the runner is safe on a 3rd pickoff attempt, he's awarded the next base.

I feel like that’s enough. I think Spanky has just a little old timer in him because 4 throw overs is not fun in person, or watching the game

A lot of throws aren’t close, it’s more like “you’re fast and I know you can steal, so I’m going to throw over so you know I know”

I agree with this and I think the biggest improvement to the game of baseball will be to give fans fewer opportunities to boo the pitcher when he attempts a pick off. It's so f***ing stupid.

Wow... a pitcher saying this is awkward. lol

Agree. But one new rule I agree with is the ghost runner at second when in extra innings. It brings intensity to the game and will save the bullpen meaning more quality pitching.
