It's going to be a s*** show... LOL

I don't understand how you seem to think none of these came up last season in the minors when they tested it.

I expect a quality product in the Majors, not a rush rush rush ******** for the sake of making the game shorter.

Dreams crushed. Hopefully Alek Thomas sucks or this will sting. This would be the 2nd time getting taken to the cleaners after Jo Adell.

If I remember right, people had a lot more patience with Borgarts and pop when he was young. I was thinking Lux could have a similar trajectory and be a 20hr bat

For many people a "quality product" and "3.5 hours for a 9-inning game because players can't stop themselves from spending 45 seconds scratching their nuts between pitches" are mutually exclusive though.

Are you gonna post every instance where there is a pitch clock violation to make us change our minds? This is the best rule for the pace of play that will have a great impact for the game. Cutting the game time by 20-30 minutes will attract more fans. Is it gonna be perfect right off the get go? Off course not, but it's still what's best for the game in the long run.

Let's be honest, did you really enjoy watching a guy like Rafael Dolis pitch? Did the 5 minutes he took between pitches improve the ''quality'' of his pitches?

I hope not! I really dislike Gavin Lux. Probably the laziest defensive player in baseball, and topps it off with a pathetic noodle arm. He's the Manny Ramirez of 2B, if Manny had 30-grade power.

30 grade power is pretty bold lol. He proved he belonged at least. Unlike some of the other big names coming up recently. I thought some more pop was on the way.

Why are they playing in that weather?

Wasn’t that one of the playoff games in the NLDS? I believe the game was already pushed back a day and they needed to get this played so it didn’t f*** up the whole playoff schedule

If you're a kid with a short attention span it fits the bill for you. A baseball game with thinking and strategy is not for you so you just want rush rush action. Bringing up extremes like Dolis is a poor argument. I appreciate all the nuances of the game in a relaxed atmosphere. The game was never intended to include a clock that will penalize players. Where are the historical statistics for that?

I am not trying to convince anyone but I will sure expose the stupidity of it all.

At what point in time have you shown anyone rushing? You make it sound like batters have to run up to the plate and barely have time to get set.

You could say the same about the NBA and NFL play clocks. They also have to device strategy in a set amount of time. This leads to a quicker pace and this has helped in devour MlB market share over the years. I believe both those leagues used to be without the play clock. Baseball just slow to evolve

Have you ever been to a game in 1957? Because in 1957 the average game was 2 hours 33 minutes long. And it was more or less like that for the 30 years that followed and about a half hour shorter for the 30 years prior. Were the players ever rushed back then? Did they not have time to strategize in a relaxed atmosphere? The pitch clock is merely returning the game to the length of time and pace of play to where it was between 1885 to 1985. As a traditionalist, you should like that.

NBA, NFL and NHL all have a time limit for the action to complete the game. A clock in those sports was always necessary. In baseball the inning ends with 3 outs, not a timer. Not so hard to understand the difference is it?

If you read about the history of the play clocks in both leagues, the main objective was to improve game flow. Stalling tactics were secondary. I’m not claiming it’s apples to apples

Sounds like we'll see Glasnow in June

This is like a contractor telling you 6-8 weeks for a job. Always good to tack on 3 weeks. Especially with a track record like Glasnow.

Yeah. They're saying 6-8 weeks for game action. That's May to start minor league appearances. Probably June/July until he's on an MLB mound.

Imagine being Gavin Lux.

25 years old. Former elite prospect who has disappointed, but done enough to be a big league regular.

Looking towards his first full season as a starting position player.

Probably worked all offseason to increase his bat speed and power.

Trips on a grain of dirt in the second spring training game and blows out his knee.

Mike Trout usually doesn't say much but he did yesterday

Mike Trout’s Angels urgency is clear with Shohei Ohtani’s future uncertain: ‘Got to be the year’

By Jon Heyman

“This is the year, for sure,” Trout told The Post on Monday.

“This has got to be the year,” he said. “It’s got to be.”

And then he added one more pertinent thought, one that’s on everyone’s mind around here.

“Especially if we want to keep Shohei [Ohtani],” Trout said. “We win and get to the playoffs, he’d think about it a little bit more.”

Of course, it’s not possible to always be positive.

“If you’re not upset or frustrated when you’re losing, you shouldn’t be playing,” he said.

"Talking to Shohei and obviously playing with him in the past couple years, there’s nothing more that he wants to do than win. And he hates it, as well. He hates losing. He hates going home early," Trout said. "So we got to put a big year together and hopefully keep him here."

It was the new bases that caused this

Team looks good enough for a WC spot if their best players stay healthy.

Yeah

They're not likely taking the division from Houston and the Rangers aren't terrible anymore but...

AL Central still suxx

There's no guarantee that the AL East produces 3 playoff teams this year

Oh yeah and Mariners

I just don’t see which team they’d beat for a WC spot…

Jays/Yanks will likely take 1 WC spot

Seattle probably gets one

Then you have Twins/Rays/Cleveland/Chisox which are all clearly better than the Angels

I don’t see it
