Phew

Hopefully the TV broadcasts show a miniaturized version in the lower screen corner or something

Maybe just for the last 5 seconds even or something

Like the NBA shot clock

People are melting down on Twitter over this. I wonder how many people complaining watch even one game a week.

It’s not rocket science get the f*** in there

Get the f*** in the box.

Yeah if they don't strictly enforce it then players won't take it seriously. Get all the BS stuff out of the way in Spring Training so it doesn't bleed over into the regular season.

This exactly. People saying they should be lenient are wrong if you don’t fully enforce them players will take them with a grain of salt.

Yeah they’re probably doing it so everyone can get used to the rhythm. But yeah, like both NFL and NBA it’ll be somewhere players can be aware but viewers only get last couple seconds. Actually I’m not even sure it should be broadcast for mlb unless it’s like Ball 4. Otherwise it’s not really significant enough like NFL or NBA

I'd rather not be distracted by some countdown that will rarely if ever come into play when the season starts for real, when I am watching baseball.

Yeah I’d imagine like 95% they’ll get it off in time and it just doesn’t carry the same suspense as the other 2 sports

I don't even find it slightly distracting, I sorta liked it in the game today.

I would, however, find it jarring if the ump is calling a ball/strike and there's no indication why unless the announcers happen to have a clue what's happening

I kind of forgot about it after the first 4 innings I’m guessing a couple weeks in I won’t notice it at all

The pace of play with the pitch clock is f***ing amazing

I don't really care whether you can see the clock or not.

I think the players should mostly be used to it by the regular season.

Agree, but I also don’t want to see games being decided like that Bosox/Atlanta game today in the actual regular season.

Seems very reckless by MLB to make this many rule changes in a season where lots of players will be gone during the WBC and won’t have time to get into a new routine.

I don't think it takes long to adjust

Even just seeing the highlight of the braves red sox conclusion today is going to make a lot of hitters change their routine

They all end up exactly in the middle of the ocean? Somehow I doubt the science behind this. You would think at least one of them is marginally off-center...but it's on twitter so it must be true.
