I do think the Blue Jays are the better team and also preferred playing the Mariners over the Rays, but some posters on here thought the Jays were just going to walk all over them, which is the hilarious thing.

 

Mariners definitely have an advantage if they lock up Game 1. Even if the Jays win Game 2, prefer the Mariners with Logan Gilbert on the mound over Stripling/Berrios.

The Vlady/Bo led offense has scored a grand total of 3 runs through 3 playoff games…and 2 of those runs were Jansen solo HRs. Expect more of the same tomorrow. These guys simply choke when it matters.

Kind of an odd decision to let Manoah start game 1 over Gausman. I would've preferred for the guy with experience to start game 1 so Alek could have had a chance to take in the atmosphere and experience the energy so he could better prepare for what it would be like.

 

At the end of the day, this offense is just too 1 dimensional. No good lefties at all. That leaves a team very exposed against high-end starters like Castillo.

 

But I like the next 2 matchups a lot better. Maybe we can win the next 2.

Make sense? I said this series isn't over. We lost first 2 games in 2015 vsTexas and pulled out the series. We ran into a great pitcher yesterday. Flush it. Move on to a new day today. It Won't be easy but 2 in row at home doable.

Yeah losing the 1st game of a 3 game playoff series is not ideal, and I think people have been sleeping on Seattle's pitching if they thought this would be a cakewalk win for the Jays, but it's just about winning 2 games in a row at home. Very doable. I like the Gausman/Ray matchup for the Jays today. Not sure I like Game 3's matchup even with how good Stripling has been this season, but just get to Game 3 and worry about that later.

Yeah I feel the same way about Strip as I did Estrada during the Postseason in 2015 and 2016. I think he can turn in a solid performance during a Game 3 especially at home.

I just keep telling myself it could’ve been worse for the Jays. Imagine if that s*** happened in game 3 for us, or later on in the playoffs. Or if we had like 10 more wins than the team that beat us.

 

All in all, Jays and Mariners were pretty evenly matched and the hotter team won. Castillo shut us down. Our pitching was trash both games other than Gausman.
