Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2022 Posted October 8, 2022 I do think the Blue Jays are the better team and also preferred playing the Mariners over the Rays, but some posters on here thought the Jays were just going to walk all over them, which is the hilarious thing. Mariners definitely have an advantage if they lock up Game 1. Even if the Jays win Game 2, prefer the Mariners with Logan Gilbert on the mound over Stripling/Berrios. ... Toerag!
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2022 Posted October 8, 2022 Spanky.... So being a Jay-booster is bad now, loser? Keep telling us how close Vlad is , Coach. Series isn't over.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2022 Posted October 8, 2022 Spanky thinks the Blue Jays will walk over anyone haha. Are you this stupid Sil, seriously?
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2022 Posted October 8, 2022 Spanky is a huge homer lol... you f***ing loser.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2022 Posted October 8, 2022 The Vlady/Bo led offense has scored a grand total of 3 runs through 3 playoff games…and 2 of those runs were Jansen solo HRs. Expect more of the same tomorrow. These guys simply choke when it matters. You should be shot and pissed on, hell, then kicked to the curb, eeijit.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2022 Posted October 8, 2022 Kirk is a DH. They don't get more that 1M a year. Problem is they can only sign Bo or Kirk longterm at DH. 1 has to walk *NOTE THIS CRAZY PERSON* ^^^^ Stay weary...
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2022 Posted October 8, 2022 Team needs a few good lefty bats. Seems like forever since we had a few. This team didn't need LHB's this game, they needed execution and production. Although signing Conforto tickles my fancy.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2022 Posted October 8, 2022 SUCKED. Ain't over. I remember the same feeling after we lost the first 2 in a 5 game series vs TEX in '15. Look what happened. Castillo was terrific. Flush it. Tomorrows a new game. Holy... this makes sense? First of many.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2022 Posted October 8, 2022 Kind of an odd decision to let Manoah start game 1 over Gausman. I would've preferred for the guy with experience to start game 1 so Alek could have had a chance to take in the atmosphere and experience the energy so he could better prepare for what it would be like. At the end of the day, this offense is just too 1 dimensional. No good lefties at all. That leaves a team very exposed against high-end starters like Castillo. But I like the next 2 matchups a lot better. Maybe we can win the next 2. lmao
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2022 Posted October 8, 2022 Holy... this makes sense? First of many. You weren’t on the gdt today. You missed all the crying:p

BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2022 Posted October 8, 2022 Holy... this makes sense? First of many. Make sense? I said this series isn't over. We lost first 2 games in 2015 vsTexas and pulled out the series. We ran into a great pitcher yesterday. Flush it. Move on to a new day today. It Won't be easy but 2 in row at home doable.

Yeah losing the 1st game of a 3 game playoff series is not ideal, and I think people have been sleeping on Seattle's pitching if they thought this would be a cakewalk win for the Jays, but it's just about winning 2 games in a row at home. Very doable. I like the Gausman/Ray matchup for the Jays today. Not sure I like Game 3's matchup even with how good Stripling has been this season, but just get to Game 3 and worry about that later.

Maybe not a great comparison but I feel with Strip like I did when Estrada pitched with that change. Every time Marco pitched in a big game we needed I was terrified he would get lit with his high wire act change and 89 MPH. And mostly when we needed him he was brilliant for us. Strip might just be tonic if we can win today. Gilbert is top shelf too for Game 3. No easy meals. Love to have an impact LHH or two against him. Got to pray for some Rocket magic. All this is moot if our top hitters don't put up some better at bats today. Cant win with 0 runs.

Need a couple lefty bats seems it’s been forever since we had an impact left handed bat
DigitalRock Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2022 Posted October 8, 2022 STFU... he's right in consideration. Stfu all he does is whine, then he disappears, loser.

I think he can turn in a solid performance during a Game 3 especially at home.
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2022 Posted October 8, 2022 Hope Spanky wakes up in time and doesn't miss his GO Train downtown today! Haha.
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2022 Posted October 8, 2022 You weren’t on the gdt today. You missed all the crying:p Yes, thanks to sweet baby jesus we had your steadying calm influence after we got down early. Before our bats erupted.

Omar Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2022 Posted October 8, 2022 Yes, thanks to sweet baby jesus we had your steadying calm influence after we got down early. Before our bats erupted. Hey we got beat. But to start slashing our wrists after one inning was absurd.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2022 Posted October 8, 2022 Hey we got beat. But to start slashing our wrists after one inning was absurd. Imagine how Mets fans are feeling

BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted October 9, 2022 Posted October 9, 2022 Imagine how Mets fans are feeling Probably not as bad as us because they are playing again today and still have a chance to move on.
Carlos Danger Old-Timey Member Posted October 9, 2022 Posted October 9, 2022 We were jinxed when the GDT said 1 of 3. Should have just said game 1
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted October 9, 2022 Posted October 9, 2022 Probably not as bad as us because they are playing again today and still have a chance to move on. Lol dude that comment was from before game 2. Scherzer had just imploded and they lost to the Padres 7-1 at home. Sure they likely feel better after last night’s game, but if they lose today it will be a tough offseason for their fans.

I don't Mets fans feel great this morning either. lol. tough one last night for them in their house.

Imagine if that s*** happened in game 3 for us, or later on in the playoffs. Or if we had like 10 more wins than the team that beat us. All in all, Jays and Mariners were pretty evenly matched and the hotter team won. Castillo shut us down. Our pitching was trash both games other than Gausman.
Arjun Nimmala Vancouver Canadians - A+ SS It's been slow going at the start of the season for Nimmala, but on Sunday, he was 3-for-5 with his 3rd home run and 3 RBI. Explore Arjun Nimmala News >
