Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted August 16, 2022 Posted August 16, 2022 Really like Vlad taking that to right center

JaysAllMighty Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2022 Posted August 16, 2022 Nice Home Run Vladdyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
DigitalRock Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2022 Posted August 16, 2022 Vlad king of solo hr’s lol
goldbug103 Verified Member Posted August 16, 2022 Posted August 16, 2022 Vlad king of solo hr’s lol Are the Jays over 0.500 by end of August ? Yes No Any guesses ?
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2022 Posted August 16, 2022 But he is a "professional hitter". Another RH bat, and a mediocre one at that. Exactly what we needed. He’s a better CF backup option over Tapia IMO. But I don’t really think he should be starting at 2B over anyone else we have. Maybe next year he can turn it around with the numbers
DigitalRock Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2022 Posted August 16, 2022 Teo had two meat balls just kidding them.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2022 Posted August 16, 2022 Vlad king of solo hr’s lol Yeah this year he’s super un-clutch and gets lots of homers/doubles when nobody is on base and it doesn’t really matter
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted August 16, 2022 Posted August 16, 2022 Really liked that AB from Bo as well. Hopefully he can do more of that. Laid off the pitches out of the zone and made good swings on strikes
DigitalRock Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2022 Posted August 16, 2022 Swung at first pitch that was off the plate ugh
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2022 Posted August 16, 2022 Fun fact: At the end of every inning Adley Rutschman goes to the mound to give his pitchers a high five. Guy is a leader.
bones10 Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2022 Posted August 16, 2022 why is Thornton so dog s*** if his nerd spin stats are literally 98+ percentile.
Carlos Danger Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2022 Posted August 16, 2022 (edited) why is Thornton so dog s*** if his nerd spin stats are literally 98+ percentile. Bingo, you have seen the light! Edited August 16, 2022 by Carlos Danger
AMS528 Verified Member Posted August 16, 2022 Posted August 16, 2022 I wonder if Teo is worth anything in a trade at this point. He's so predictable and terrible Haha what in the f***. Teo is having the same 4 WAR type season he has had for the last 2.5 seasons. He's as consistent as they get. Honestly out of all the things to complain about Teos performance this year is not one.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2022 Posted August 16, 2022 why is Thornton so dog s*** if his nerd spin stats are literally 98+ percentile. Probably because none of that matters unless you can miss the barrel.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2022 Posted August 16, 2022 Are the Jays over 0.500 by end of August ? Yes No Any guesses ? Is this a real question?
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2022 Posted August 16, 2022 Fun fact: At the end of every inning Adley Rutschman goes to the mound to give his pitchers a high five. Guy is a leader. If Kirk did this he might go into Cardiac Arrest. Don’t push that needles extra cardio onto him
BuckHenry Verified Member Posted August 16, 2022 Posted August 16, 2022 As Gibby used to say, “Ya , we’re scufflin’ rite now !” LOL …. Wonder what Montoyo is thinking ?

If Kirk did this he might go into Cardiac Arrest. Don’t push that needles extra cardio onto him We could do something similar, except instead of a high five we could give our pitchers a slap to the face. (Kuch, Berrios, et al.)
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2022 Posted August 16, 2022 As Gibby used to say, “Ya , we’re scufflin’ rite now !” LOL …. Wonder what Montoyo is thinking ? Honestly he probably gives zero f***s. He’s sitting on beach right now in Puerto Rico sipping on a Pina Colado and banging on his bongos. The quietest manager exit of all time. He probably thanked them for the decision.
5ToolPhenom Verified Member Posted August 16, 2022 Posted August 16, 2022 Jays really haven't had a lot of big comeback wins this year. It's funny how being down 4 with this supposed excellent offense that this game feels out of reach.

Honestly out of all the things to complain about Teos performance this year is not one. Oh yeah he's great Edit: another 3 pitch out
Solaxys Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2022 Posted August 16, 2022 Orioles/Guardians/Orioles is really not a good back to back recipe for us lol Both teams show incredible amount of hustle - every groundball is a legit sprint, smart ABs, decent pitching I think it was Buck who said it on broadcast the other afternoon; if JRam is the one who is sprinting out every ball in play, that sets the precedent because he is their best player, so if he's doing it - everyone should be doing it. And then obviously Adley for Os. It still triggers me beyond reason how Vlad just opts to jog. Bo also doesn't seem to leg out ground balls even if its a risk of GIDP. Once we get to the Sox/Yankees, we might feel better of ourselves. Those clubs are more our pace.
5ToolPhenom Verified Member Posted August 16, 2022 Posted August 16, 2022 Has anyone else noticed how things have gone downhill ever since that incident where Bo was showing up Vladdy on the field for catching that pop fly? It was a pop up that landed right to Vladdy and Bo got PISSED because he thought he had the right of way. Really petty stuff. The fact that Bo Bichette of all people was ripping into the teams star player so publicly on the field had to have set a terrible precedent. The fact that Montoyo didn't step in to tell Bo to cool it was likely a reason why he got the boot. You don't treat the best player on the team like that, at least not publicly. Whatever the case was, I think it was a clear sign that this team had issues going on behind the scenes. You never really see Bo and Vladdy all buddy buddy again after that happened.
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2022 Posted August 16, 2022 Tbay about to beat the NYY. Now up 4 -0. Yanks look so beatable now.

BuckHenry Verified Member Posted August 16, 2022 Posted August 16, 2022 Well , there has to be some blame to the batting coach …. Their approach has been cringeworthy for a long time … their undisciplined at bats has never been corrected…. Always seem to be swinging for the fence which has given up lazy fly balls.
