It doesn't necessarily mean Pace isn't signing, they always release a bunch of signings in a big batch once a year and they have made signings afterwards a few times. That said, it's probably true in this instance since they managed to sign Perry. They must have used everything they had left to get him.

I mean, it should have been pretty obvious that Pace was just a "lets draft this kid with our last pick so the kid can be happy he got drafted" pick when he stated that he didn't even know that he was drafted because he turned the draft off. Had it been a real pick/signing they would have called him beforehand to iron out the bonus and confirm with him that they had enough to get the deal done.

And yes, Nolan Perry likely got the remainder of everything we had left - which would put his bonus around ~$200K (this makes sense for a 12th round HS pitcher).

$200K obviously wasn't anywhere near enough to get Pace done. If it was, he wouldn't have lasted till the 20th round.

Anyone have an idea of when these guys will hit the minor leagues and get some games in?

For the most part they'll all go to the complex league right away, with the possible exception of some of the college arms that may go to A ball.

A+ is a maybe for some college guys, but that would depend on whether they have a passport.

Any high school arms probably don't pitch again this year(See Tiedemann last year) with a small possible exception of Barriera since he shut himself down earlier than usual. HS hitters possibly see time in the FCL within a couple weeks. College Hitters probably split between Vancouver/Dunedin depending on their level. I figure Jimenez will get promoted soon, likely making room for Kasevich and/or Doughty. College pitchers it depends. May get shut down if they've pitched a ton. Starters who don't probably Dunedin. More advanced starters might get to go higher but they didn't pick any high college arms so perhaps none. Pen arms might get to go to Vancouver if the team feels they're more advanced.

All right, another velo arm, lets gooooo

Has a fast twitch athletic wiry frame body. Broad shoulders with high waist. Powerful upper torso. Durable hips and legs. Starts from the far-left side of the rubber. Has a short side step start that follows with a middle of belt separation. Short hand pump generates energy to his follow through. Displays a ¾-arm slot, high tuck leg kick, slight drop and drive to get to front side. Arm is quick. Front side opens up early and glove side tends to balance him out in his delivery. He clears his front side to allow his sweeping arm to release point. Has some hyperactive actions that he uses to his advantage in a positive way. Quick worker and full throttle approach. Arm strength is present and feel for a sharp CB with bite that at times shows SL actions. Stanifer, as he matures could develop a true SL with a Changeup that has late fade. The athleticism is solid and his arm is pure. Solid projection to future is he will throw even harder.

Any word on Kale Davis signing? It would be strange for a college senior not to.

He's not a Sr. He's transferring to OU from OK State. Already announced he's not signing.

My mistake, I was just going by age. That's unfortunate.

Yeah, I think the deadline is Mon at 5PM....They were saying that only 3 guys out of the top 10 rds had not signed

No, they've signed everyone but the 3 picks of the entire draft. RD 16 - Davis... RD 18 - Pilon and RD 20 - Pace Jr. are all going to school commits.

After an unusual amount of drama leading up to the 2021 Draft's signing deadline, this year's is relatively calm.

Last summer, No. 10 overall pick Kumar Rocker failed a post-Draft physical with the Mets, killing a $6 million bonus agreement and leading to a revised offer of $0 that the Vanderbilt right-hander obviously refused. The Orioles were willing to pay Florida outfielder Jud Fabian $3 million if he made it to their No. 41 selection in the second round, but the Red Sox popped him at No. 40 and he declined to sign for less than Baltimore's offer.

This year, every pick in the first two rounds signed by Saturday evening, two days before the 5 p.m. ET deadline Monday.

The highest-drafted player who appears unlikely to sign is Florida right-hander Brandon Sproat, a third-round pick by the Mets. After struggling earlier in the college season, he allowed a total of seven earned runs in his final six starts while running his fastball up to 99 mph and his slider up to 91. Sproat also was the highest unsigned player in the 2019 Draft, turning down the Rangers as a seventh-rounder from Pace (Fla.) HS.

Besides Sproat, two other players have yet to sign in the top 10 rounds: Oklahoma State right-hander/third baseman Nolan McLean (Orioles, third round) and Wichita State second baseman Brock Rodden (Athletics, 10th).
