Vlad, Bo, Kirk, Gurriel, Teo, Springer, Manoah, Gausman, Berrios, Romano is a top notch core. Problem is, everything else around it has been blah to bad for the most part. Just terribly put together in areas that needed improvement or to be filled

 

We play in a really tough division and it’s really hard when we just flat suck at the pitching thing. It shouldn’t take this long. There really isn’t any excuse for it other than that we suck at as an organization.

 

I wish seattle was an NL team. I could follow them as well and watch some good pitching. Guys with real f***ing stuff instead of the pathetic pitch to contact ******** that rolls out of our pen every night. It’s embarrassing.

The team's record is starting to normalize into who they are.

 

If we had a better bench with a decent LHB in it, pinch hitting for Chapman in the ninth could have been an option.

You nailed it. Teams take on the personality of their manager, and sadly the Blue Jays are soft. They play the role of the awe shucks underdogs well, and that would have been great two years ago. However, its time in their development where they should be world eaters. No one is scared to play a bunch of goofballs.

Atkins shouldn't had renewed his contract. Goddamn unbelievable. Atkins and Montoyo needs to go after this season but it's probably just Montoyo tho. It didn't help that they got a s***** batting coach.

Extending his contract one additional season so he’s not a lame duck is SOP, easier to manage when you’re not thinking about a contract extension. It doesn’t preclude upper management from making a change if they feel the need for it.
