My thought was Happ and a reliever to the Jays is probably a realistic outcome but if the Dodgers are involved (which I suspected they would be if they missed out on Soto), then not sure anymore. The Jays don’t have much in the system outside of Moreno and Tiedmann that I’d miss if they were traded so curious to see if they can get upgrades with other prospects involved.

The Toronto Blue Jays are finalizing a deal with the Miami Marlins, sources tell ESPN. Shortstop Jordan Groshans is going to Miami. Zach Pop and others are going to Toronto.

Pablo Lopez is not in the deal.

So Groshan’s value is basically nil?

How are you going to use Groshans and not get Pablo. Who else could make sense?

Numbers don't lie. Groshans suck and tu lo sabes muy bien

Not a sexy move at all. Groshans kinda meh but still I would have rather made a bigger trade and sent more pieces to get better players back

Wow, I know Groshans has zero power in the minors so that zaps a lot of his upside (unless he's fixable), but trading him for two relievers is kind of disappointing.

Are you guys serious? Groshans is almost 23 has hit for zero power the past two years. It's not like he sports a .300+ BA either.

If it's Bass and Pop for him, that's a great trade. Pop has lots of control.

Looks like Groshans trade value has really cratered with the season he's had. 82 WRC+ in AAA certainly isn't very inspiring.

only reason im upset about this deal is because i expected groshans to be part of a package for a star player.

it's a solid deal on paper. i think groshans is quite overrated.

yeah not getting all the hate here. Groshans was once a prized prospect, he's clearly not considered as such anymore. He has a .296 SLG%

No pleasing you f***ers huh lol Bass becomes at worst our 3rd best reliever potentially even our best and Pop is a controllable reliever who throws gas and if we can get him to ditch the sinker and become a 4 seam guy he could takeoff and become a elite reliever.
