Really need Berrios to turn it around, but I have a bad feeling the Twins bats are going to hammer us again

They know how Berrios pitches all too well, so unless he's absolutely nailing those corners, its going to be a rough afternoon

Last night just seemed to be one of those games where every mistake Jays pitchers made was sent over the outfield fences.

Arash Madani is such a f***ing tool. I'm watching Sportsnet and I'm guessing this clip is from last night but he just described Ryu's injury like Ryu is on his death bed.

The one with Shi, right? He pretty much says the same in his article...

Sure doesn't sound good, everything's pointing to TJS, imo.

That would basically put an end to his career as a Blue Jay and an end to his career as a pitcher.

He’ll be one of those 1/3-5 guys for couple tries I’ll bet

Possibly, definitely might be done with the Jays, so fingers crossed he doesn't need it and comes back, looks pretty bleak from what's being reported. No bueno.

I wonder if it's too soon to look at Max Castillo if the Jays need another starter at some point. Still only 23 and just got promoted to AAA, but he's been their best starter since the promotion and has a s*** ton of MiLB innings under his belt.

Yeah when they are looking for second opinions you know they didnt like the first one

We shall see how strongly the competitive juices flow. By the end of his Jays contract he'll have raked in over $100 million for his MLB career so financial concerns won't be much of a consideration.

This is true. I’ll go either way if it comes to TJ

Hope not. Would be nice if Pearson was able to show us something once rehabbed - he has had his moments but too often looks like Merryweather has in 22, with a hard, but straight FB and poor command. Doesn't maintain the V well. Too much talent though to give up on. So many guys come into their own around his age...or not.

from what I understand, he wont be starting this year, multi inning reliever only.

Don't worry about Ryu. I'm sure Atkins is on the horn right now with the A's as we speak trying to secure another arm.

Where'd you see/hear that?

I thought that was the consensus after he caught mono in spring training, I could be wrong though.

He also hasnt thrown more than two innings in his rehab starts.

Because a SP wasn't what was needed and it would get him to back to the bigs quicker with the ability to control his innings/pitches per outing. It will definitely not be anything set for sure the rest of the year...just where it will start

Oh, derp... I thought you were talking about Ryu. Yeah, Pearson's building up to a SP role, last I heard from Atkins and they'll likely use him for multi innings, correct.
