Solaxys Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2022 Posted June 4, 2022 Really need Berrios to turn it around, but I have a bad feeling the Twins bats are going to hammer us again They know how Berrios pitches all too well, so unless he's absolutely nailing those corners, its going to be a rough afternoon
max silver Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2022 Posted June 4, 2022 Really need Berrios to turn it around, but I have a bad feeling the Twins bats are going to hammer us again Last night just seemed to be one of those games where every mistake Jays pitchers made was sent over the outfield fences.
TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2022 Posted June 4, 2022 Arash Madani is such a f***ing tool. I'm watching Sportsnet and I'm guessing this clip is from last night but he just described Ryu's injury like Ryu is on his death bed.

He pretty much says the same in his article... Sure doesn't sound good, everything's pointing to TJS, imo.
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2022 Posted June 4, 2022 Don’t agree with Jim on much, but agree prob last pitch Ryu tossed with the Jays
max silver Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2022 Posted June 4, 2022 The one with Shi, right? He pretty much says the same in his article... Sure doesn't sound good, everything's pointing to TJS, imo. That would basically put an end to his career as a Blue Jay and an end to his career as a pitcher.

Possibly, definitely might be done with the Jays, so fingers crossed he doesn't need it and comes back, looks pretty bleak from what's being reported. No bueno.

Still only 23 and just got promoted to AAA, but he's been their best starter since the promotion and has a s*** ton of MiLB innings under his belt.

max silver Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2022 Posted June 4, 2022 He’ll be one of those 1/3-5 guys for couple tries I’ll bet We shall see how strongly the competitive juices flow. By the end of his Jays contract he'll have raked in over $100 million for his MLB career so financial concerns won't be much of a consideration.

Hope not. Would be nice if Pearson was able to show us something once rehabbed - he has had his moments but too often looks like Merryweather has in 22, with a hard, but straight FB and poor command. Doesn't maintain the V well. Too much talent though to give up on. So many guys come into their own around his age...or not.
bones10 Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2022 Posted June 4, 2022 The game after ending a winning streak is always so melancholy, lets start a new one asap please.

Omar Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2022 Posted June 4, 2022 Don't worry about Ryu. I'm sure Atkins is on the horn right now with the A's as we speak trying to secure another arm.
bones10 Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2022 Posted June 4, 2022 Where'd you see/hear that? I thought that was the consensus after he caught mono in spring training, I could be wrong though. He also hasnt thrown more than two innings in his rehab starts.

He also hasnt thrown more than two innings in his rehab starts. Because a SP wasn't what was needed and it would get him to back to the bigs quicker with the ability to control his innings/pitches per outing. It will definitely not be anything set for sure the rest of the year...just where it will start

Yeah, Pearson's building up to a SP role, last I heard from Atkins and they'll likely use him for multi innings, correct.
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2022 Posted June 4, 2022 Ol' Dead arm with the curve away. Nice pitch sequence and execution.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2022 Author Posted June 4, 2022 This site is glitchy AF since last night.
