Chucky's bullpen management has been ok. Seems to be an improvement over last year.

 

But this game was horrendous. He left Berrios in too long and using Borucki in that situation was not wise.

He doesn't need to go. You don't bring a guy in who's pitched 5 innings when you have one of your best veteran relievers on who has already got 2 outs for you though. Just chuckled again. It's hard to chuckle at old chuckles. It just isn't very funny anymore.

To add to this he didn't let Manoah finish that game where he had 83 pitches in 8 innings, instead opting to throw Romano on back to back days. Which likely made him cautious in not using him in 3 out of 4 games tonight.

Because they want a puppet manager so they can influence what goes on in the dugout. Like I've always said, the downfall of Shatkins will be their inability to hire a strong independent manager where Shatkins can't pull any strings. I hope this mindset changes quick.
