Solaxys Old-Timey Member Posted May 22, 2022 Posted May 22, 2022 Graham Ashcraft pitching debut against the Jays today. So far in AAA: 7 starts (32 IP), 3 wins, 1.65 ERA, 30 Ks, 0 HRs allowed, but WHIP of 1.469 Either going to unlock this team or absolutely shut this team down, fun times.

"This season he’s spent the full year with the Triple-A Louisville Bats. He’s made seven starts with Louisville and posted a 1.65 ERA in 32.2 innings pitched. Opponents are hitting .240/.333/.248 against him. And no, that is not a typo. He has allowed just one extra-base hit – a double – in 150 plate appearances this season. Ashcraft’s 71.2% ground ball rate is the best in minor league baseball in 2022. For the most part you’re going to see Graham Ashcraft work with a fastball that works 97-99 on most days and has touched 101, a cutter, and a low-80’s slider. All three pitchers are above-average or better. " eek
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 22, 2022 Posted May 22, 2022 Matz left his start today after 4 pitches, I'm liking the Kooch deal more, every damn day!
Solaxys Old-Timey Member Posted May 22, 2022 Posted May 22, 2022 Ashcraft’s 71.2% ground ball rate is the best in minor league baseball in 2022. Well, that's not good for Vlad
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 22, 2022 Posted May 22, 2022 This ump's strike zone is pretty tight.
bones10 Old-Timey Member Posted May 22, 2022 Posted May 22, 2022 So they're basically turning Kikuchi into Ray, right ? Fine by me
Solaxys Old-Timey Member Posted May 22, 2022 Posted May 22, 2022 This ump's strike zone is pretty tight. Too tight there.
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted May 22, 2022 Posted May 22, 2022 That was strike 3 to Pham. Jansen popped up due to runner going. Kooch wild as f***. Gonna be a Stripling day soon. Not getting any calls either.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted May 22, 2022 Posted May 22, 2022 Yeah he’s wild and not getting any close calls. Deadly combo for Yusei
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 22, 2022 Posted May 22, 2022 We better get this strike zone or I'm going to snap.
jaysguy44 Old-Timey Member Posted May 22, 2022 Posted May 22, 2022 If he gets out of this without giving up a run, that would be quite something
