Kikuchi is good as long as he stays in the zone. Also gotta drill it into his head to throw the fastball more and cutter less

100%. Classic case of guy who doesn't fully trust his own good stuff. Dam Mayza was clutch tonight. He is legit.

Yup, team record could easily be .500 or worse right now without the great pitching we’ve gotten from guys like Gausman, Cimber, Romano, Stripling and even Kikuchi tonight

...and some good D.

It might be time to start worrying about our offense. It's unfair to think that Teo will turn us back into the hitting juggernauts from last year.

I don't know when but they will come around. I have no doubts. Some LHH impact would be very helpful. I'm not talking Zimm or Tapia.

Will tomorrows lineup card look like we hope? Come on Charlie.

Hopefully with Teo batting cleanup. The lineup just doesn't look right with Gurriel batting cleanup.

Ya I'd love to slot a power left handed bat 5th in our lineup after Teo.

man, we need to start going into the 9th with more than a 1 run lead

That's asking an awful lot of the pitching staff when they never score more than 2 runs

Kikuchi haters where u at

Hey there! Great time for a great game from this guy, unfortunately that makes 1 great start out of 5 with 3 of them being terrible. Might want to wait for more than 1 quality game to start calling out the Kikuchi haters. He made it to MLB somehow and any pitcher that has reached this level is going to pitch well at least every once in awhile.

Nice for the boys to salvage a victory, especially after the debacle in the 7th inning last night. Marty Foster had a rough night behind the plate but at least it was both teams getting f***ed this time and not just the Jays. I have to give Charlie credit for getting Phelps out of there as fast as he did when it was apparent that Phelps didn't have it tonight, there have been far too many times in the past where he's left the reliever in the game to give up a bushel load of runs.

Hopefully Teo coming back can spark this offence a bit, too many guys seem to be pressing right now. The less of Tapia and Zimmer we are subjected to the better, it's painful that there have been a bunch of games where both guys are in the starting lineup.

I'm honestly asking a question. When was the last time a player like Capra produced for us at the big league level?

Colabello, what's your point?

Romano is laughing as he loads the bases. The guy is just not all there and it's great.

He legit said as much today, prior to his appearance and game today on MLBN. :D

A bit early to dunk with him just yet at 3/36 I'd say. We shall see. Hope you are right. Fingers crossed.

You've dunked on him though, it's a 2 way street right?

Eat a dick you curmudgeon, this team's loaded in positivity, talent and legacy, get used to it, bitch.

OK that was a high stress win

But at least it was a win

The majority of the Jays wins this season have been of the high stress variety but Romano loading the bases in the ninth kind of took that to new levels.

Just checking in from the Amsterdam airport waiting for the connection to Paris. Glad to see the Jays won another 1-run heart attack

Dunked? hmmm...Moi? Well if you are saying being concerned about his 2nd half in '21 and the start he has had for us this year at 3/36 wasn't worthy of being concerned and somewhat critical is dunking, I did.

The one start tonight is just that. Good on him. I'll take it but i still saw a lot of things i didn't like. For the life of me I don't get the cutter usage reliance although it is coming down. WIP.

Point is that it feels like such waste of at bats and reps when I see these players. It's like I have 0% hope these players have a chance to stick around with the big team.

Also, collabello doesn't really count because of the whole roids thing lol.

i wonder how this game would have ended without chapman D at 3rd.

I always read about his elite d, it is something else to watch it though

Jomboy breakdown of the Boone ejection last night.

awesome stuff. I think at one point Boone and the umpire almost kissed...that's what was trending on social media last night.
