Don't use all of your tissues crying over this game. There are plenty more losses to come.

Funny you would say that considering the Sox are 54-32 the past 5 seasons h2h. Maybe you can make the playoffs this season, at least.

Teams aren't good during rebuilds. A shocking revelation on your part. Enjoy 4th place this year with your s***** pitching and defense.

I hope the poor guy doesn't have to live in the shittiest city in America on top of pulling for a 4th place team. I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy.

Over the past decade if the Beans-Town Red Sux aren't first they are usually last. And there is no way they are finishing first this year after what I saw in this series.

Orioles probably save them from being last but only because John Means got hurt.

LMAO chuckles yanked him as if he was at 120 pitches and limping towards a no hitter attempt

Gausman hadn't let a single batter get to 2nd base all day. The fact that they let him go out there at 87 pitches, indicating that they were okay with him throwing another inning, and then yanked him a pitch later just because he gave up a hit makes it seem like they really weren't comfortable with him at that pitch count and simply let him go out there to chase the Maddux milestone.

And if that's the case, that's really bad management by the team. He can either throw another inning or he can't. If he can, let him stay in there because he's dealing. If he can't, don't send him back out there in the first place.

I recall you saying something similar last year and yet it was the Jays in 4th, something you have become accustomed to.

Why are you even here? Your team just lost 2 of 3 and looked like a clown show on defence. Your lineup scored all of 5 runs in a 3 game series, and were effectively shut down by the Jays 5th starter. There is really no reason to be gloating.

Better than the 5th place finishes we have seen from the team with the worst fans in the history of sports. It's fitting that you would focus on the past with a s***** team to pull for.

He probably came here ready to troll if the Jays blew the save.... Sad existence

Is there a bigger downgrade in Blue Jays history than Barry Davis to Arash Madani? Can't stand that lard ass

Calling him a lard ass is pretty unnecessary, but the guy is super awkward. Makes me cringe every time he speaks.

I was congratulating Grant on his WS and making sure he knows his place.

I would take some 5th places finishes mixed in with some WS wins any time. Better than the constant mediocrity the Jays have been in the past 2 decades.

I must say that the umps speaking after the replay challenge has added so much more to the viewing experience.

Very true, wish they had done that since the inception of video replay.

A more intelligent troll would wait for the save to be blown first and then could revel in getting his shots in. A stupid troll would still open his mouth despite his team largely resembling a minor league outfit in the field and just end up looking pathetic. It's obvious which end of the spectrum this particular poster fits into.

Hey now, it's only the shittiest city in America because it has the shittiest people in America. If he lives there, he deserves it.

He was hoping for a win but instead the Sox took the series L and all he has to look forward to tonight is eating a bowl of Beans for dinner.

Pat talking about the last time a pitcher threw 300 innings before declaring "I think those days are GONE."

Thanks Pat, important stuff.

I see you live in Canada so I'm not sure how familiar you are with US cities, but another AL East city is definitely the #1 worst city in the US: Baltimore. New York City has become quite a giant shithole as well, the AL East has two beautiful home cities and 3 giant dumps

I remember the Bosox taking 82 years to win a title? Hmm...

Two decades of mediocrity (mixed with division titles and playoff runs) pales in comparison to 82 years of futility.

Missed the game on a flight. Just caught it on PVR and now chuckling reading this thread. I knew we won, but watching it still stressed me out. I'm shocked and so happy Romano got through that. Thank god the FO got Chapman. I cringe at the thought of Biggio being there today in his place. Nice W! Huge. Also what a dumb troll. At least wait until you see if Romano blows it instead of leading with your chin on a series loss at home.

Nope. Gausman was at 88 pitches and was cruising along. Either start the inning with Romano or let Gausman finish it. Buntoyo is not built to let starters go deep into games. He has a weird obsession with using relievers as often as possible. Not watching the game but the moment Gausman gave up that single in the 9th, Charlie probably sprinted out there in pure joy to take him out.

Oh well, a win is still a win.

Has there been a complete game thrown yet? I read a day or 2 ago there hadn't been. Would've been cool if Gausman got the first. I don't know what the numbers say, but it does feel unsatisfying seeing some of these starters getting pulled while they are throwing gems.
