Scion Verified Member Posted April 21, 2022 Posted April 21, 2022 I know Bo has been successful doing his thing, but he could be so much better if he was more selective.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted April 21, 2022 Posted April 21, 2022 Nice job boys. Love to see Katoh work a leadoff walk and score in his first MLB AB.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted April 21, 2022 Posted April 21, 2022 lucky ass Houck. Vlad barely missed that one
Signal Verified Member Posted April 21, 2022 Posted April 21, 2022 Jays really need to think about stealing more bases today.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted April 21, 2022 Posted April 21, 2022 Jays really need to think about stealing more bases today. That throw wasn't even close!
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted April 21, 2022 Posted April 21, 2022 Damn that was a rope by Collins
Signal Verified Member Posted April 21, 2022 Posted April 21, 2022 That throw wasn't even close! Agree. I think they can run on that catcher.
BuckHenry Verified Member Posted April 21, 2022 Posted April 21, 2022 Katoh, Tapia , Bichette ….. some wheels when they get on base.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted April 21, 2022 Posted April 21, 2022 Nice job Red Sox, 2 pitches 2 outs on a couple of bunts (1 unintentional)
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted April 21, 2022 Posted April 21, 2022 Nice example there of why bunting against the shift isn't always as clear cut as it's made to be. Pitchers still know how to play defense and you got guys like Gausman with gross stuff that makes bunting not so fun already.
Signal Verified Member Posted April 21, 2022 Posted April 21, 2022 Gausman is dealing. 3 innings and 31 pitches. Efficient and effective.
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted April 21, 2022 Posted April 21, 2022 I know Bo has been successful doing his thing, but he could be so much better if he was more selective. I mean, until we see a sample of what he does when he's more selective we can't say for sure. It's possible, but it's also possible that his current approach is WHY he's been successful.

Yep, this isn't the 80s or 90s anymore when a lot of pitchers had 89 mph fastballs. Bunting is hard as hell and at best you're only getting to 1st. Swinging away and you could get to first via walk or single, but you could do something better like a double or homer.
JFD Old-Timey Member Posted April 21, 2022 Posted April 21, 2022 I heard that Gausman will struggle in the AL East... ...LOL
BuckHenry Verified Member Posted April 21, 2022 Posted April 21, 2022 FFS Biggio , protect the plate when you have 2 strikes …. this s*** has been going on for too long !
Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted April 21, 2022 Posted April 21, 2022 Man I was never a huge fan of Biggio but I definitely didn't think he'd turn this bad. Hope the kid can turn it around. On the brightside, he still has a higher OBP than Bo lol
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted April 21, 2022 Posted April 21, 2022 Sounds like Gausman is dealing. Damn this thing called work.
JaysAllMighty Old-Timey Member Posted April 21, 2022 Posted April 21, 2022 Katoh, why bother running... yikes
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted April 21, 2022 Posted April 21, 2022 Gausman is a great investment Loved the signing from day 1
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted April 21, 2022 Posted April 21, 2022 Lmaooooo Tapia just blew out his finger gun like he's walking around with a cannon of an arm! Someone please turn this into a gif.
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted April 21, 2022 Posted April 21, 2022 Fenway is such a f***ing s***** park, geezus.
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted April 21, 2022 Posted April 21, 2022 Vladdy's got such amazing pop. Nobody else hits that ball that far.
