BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2022 Posted April 16, 2022 Haven’t seen either Ryu start. Is he just missing spots in the zone? Yes. Center cut too much. Not locating. Pitching behind. And not much for calls from ump.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2022 Posted April 16, 2022 Haven’t seen either Ryu start. Is he just missing spots in the zone? I'd say both location and pitch sequences. Maybe they need to give Ryu the communications thingy and Kirk the receiver lol.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2022 Posted April 16, 2022 Nice Collins... Lets Go Birds!!
TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2022 Author Posted April 16, 2022 And now Zack Collins has a .818 OPS, good for second best in this lineup. Early season sample sizes are fun.
EdwinsParrot Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2022 Posted April 16, 2022 Cmon kirk run into one Edit: not like that..
JaysAllMighty Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2022 Posted April 16, 2022 Kirk not doing well at all
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2022 Posted April 16, 2022 It would be really f***ing nice if Kirk could do SOMETHING. Holy s*** he must have like 50 left on base already
glory Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2022 Posted April 16, 2022 4D chess starting Collins and Tapia.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2022 Posted April 16, 2022 Kirk is god awful with runners on so far Seems like every time he comes up with at least 2 guys on base and doesn't drive any in
BlueJays Verified Member Posted April 16, 2022 Posted April 16, 2022 Why has Montoyo not been thrown out. Stick up for your players. 9 feet outside and inside is beyond acceptable Lol. Goodluck asking Montoyo to get thrown out. He's too passive.
Kordesi Verified Member Posted April 16, 2022 Posted April 16, 2022 This ump is seriously getting on my tits! Just ridiculous
glory Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2022 Posted April 16, 2022 Kirk is horrible baserunner and isn’t the greatest defensive catcher. If he’s not hitting it’s going to be really bad.
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2022 Posted April 16, 2022 So, when Jansen is back, Kirk to AAA to work on stuff? I don't really care about projections, he looks awful at the plate, and he really had almost no minor league time, so it would probably do him some good.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2022 Posted April 16, 2022 Thornton already is... interesting? I thought they would give Ryu another inning at least but I guess they don't want him going through the order a third time
slips96 Verified Member Posted April 16, 2022 Posted April 16, 2022 Kirk is brutal, get him back to A or AA where he belongs. He will set a a record for runners left on base, runners in scoring position, and double plays if Montoya keeps throwing him out there.

It really sucks because with Jansen injured this was his time to shine but he looks awful. Warning track flyballs and ground ball double plays is all he's doing
JFD Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2022 Posted April 16, 2022 Looks like going for a bike ride was a good decision. Ryu is not watchable right now
JFD Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2022 Posted April 16, 2022 Blackburn dealin and peacockin around the mound now... lol
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted April 16, 2022 Posted April 16, 2022 Blackburn dealin and peacockin around the mound now Easy to do when you don't have to throw it within 6 inches of the plate and its called a strike
Buster Verified Member Posted April 16, 2022 Posted April 16, 2022 Looks like going for a bike ride was a good decision. Ryu is not watchable right now Ya, I won't be watching any more of his starts for a while.

Despite being a ground ball it still had an expected BA of .310. Kirk will be fine.
JuniorFelix54 Verified Member Posted April 16, 2022 Posted April 16, 2022 Good ol' Hung Jim Ryu out there dominating again. Seriously they don't have a kid in Triple A to take this guy's spot already? Since mid August of last year he's the worst SP in the league when is enough enough?
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2022 Posted April 16, 2022 OMG the ump gave Thornton that call too. f***ing awful
