bigpaulie Verified Member Posted March 27, 2022 Posted March 27, 2022 If you had to make 1 bold prediction for the 2022 jays season what would it be? I’ll start- Alek Menoah will be in the top 5 for Cy Young voting
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted March 27, 2022 Posted March 27, 2022 Cavan Biggio out WARs Matt Chapman (not because Chapman is bad, though...)

max silver Old-Timey Member Posted March 27, 2022 Posted March 27, 2022 Nate Pearson avoids the injured list for the entire season. George Springer plays in 150 games. Bo Bichette posts a 7 WAR season.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted March 27, 2022 Posted March 27, 2022 Nate Pearson makes 15+ starts and shows the potential we have all longed to see as a starter

connorp Old-Timey Member Posted March 27, 2022 Posted March 27, 2022 Contest idea: Should be like a 10-15 answer questionnaire with Over/unders with Jays players, recent ex-players like Semien and Ray maybe, team wins etc Winner gets crown under their Avatar and “Most Knowledgable Jay fan” What do you think?
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted March 27, 2022 Posted March 27, 2022 Biggio leads the team in steals and doubles. Dick_Pole Old-Timey Member Posted March 27, 2022 Posted March 27, 2022 Guerrero 60+ HR. Jays will set the MLB record for HR in a season. Jays will score 1,000 runs this season. Jays will score 200 runs against the Red Sox and sweep all 19 games. Jays will surpass .500 all time as a franchise this year (currently 3506-3557). Manoah will be a Cy Young candidate. Three Jays pitchers will be in the top 5 in pitcher wins.

Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted March 27, 2022 Posted March 27, 2022 Danny Jansen ends the season with a higher wRC+ than Alejandro Kirk The Jays entire starting rotation has a sub 4 ERA
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted March 28, 2022 Posted March 28, 2022 I honestly want to think this could be the first Blue Jays to win 100+ games but the bullpen remains a massive question mark. I trust maybe four guys.
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted March 28, 2022 Posted March 28, 2022 So 150-12 record? It's bold, eeyore. We know you can't comprehend this...

Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted March 28, 2022 Posted March 28, 2022 Which 4 guys? I’d guess Romano, Cimber, Richards, Mayza?
WryNGinger Verified Member Posted March 28, 2022 Posted March 28, 2022 Springer, Vladdy, Chapman and Bichette are top 10 in mvp voting at the end of the year. Manoah, Berrios and Gausman all finish top 8 in Cy Young voting with Berrios winning.
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted March 28, 2022 Posted March 28, 2022 I’d guess Romano, Cimber, Richards, Mayza? I'm fine with Garcia also, decent pen. I see some Pearson/Stripling piggyback starts in April, too.
mtljaysfan Verified Member Posted March 28, 2022 Posted March 28, 2022 Merryweather, Pearson stay off IL all year long, and with Romano they form a 3-headed monster, closing 95 games.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted March 28, 2022 Posted March 28, 2022 Espinal will play more games at 2B than Biggio.
Dick_Pole Old-Timey Member Posted March 28, 2022 Posted March 28, 2022 So 150-12 record? More like 110ish wins. I don't expect the pitching to be particularly good. But they will exist long enough to be carried by the offense. BP is going to be a non-issue most nights. As long as they molest Boston in hilarious fashion as I expect them to, I'll be satisfied.
