Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted November 29, 2021 Posted November 29, 2021 I've responded to enough of your subtle trolling, Carlos Danger. Nobody is stupid enough to believe the things that you do. Good luck plying your craft with someone else.

Laika Community Moderator Posted November 29, 2021 Posted November 29, 2021 Yimi Garcia 241 career games 3 walk games - 2 2 walk games - 5 1 walk games - 37 0 walk games - 197 Nearly an 82% chance to walk nobody in a given appearance. Seems enjoyable.

BTS Community Moderator Posted November 29, 2021 Posted November 29, 2021 I can't believe there's a heated argument in a thread about a Yimi Garcia signing. Well, I can, but its still silly. Not much to do here except throw our hands up and assume that Shatkins see things under the hood that they think make him a bit better than a reliever who will provide like 3-4 runs above replacement.
The Iceman Verified Member Posted November 29, 2021 Posted November 29, 2021 Damn... it's nice to be chosen over others. I am more of the opinion of STOP mentioning there were higher offers out there and just assume that Toronto is a destination of choice for players. Does it still make pople feel good if one other team offered more and they lost?

How am I trolling and what is it I say I do that is so unbelievable..?? I guess it is one way to disengage from a debate if you know you are losing or have nothing left to substantiate your point/opinion..

I guess it is one way to disengage from a debate if you know you are losing or have nothing left to substantiate your point/opinion.. The irony is Grant is one of the biggest Trolls on the board. If he is wrong about Garcia you will never hear about it, however if he is right he will troll you about it to the end of time. In 2027 in some unrelated discussion he will say... "A lot of posters are pretty bad at player evaluation, if you remember some on this board thought Yimi Garcia would be above average." To be fair I'd do the same to him... Once and a while I still like to randomly bring up the fact that Billy McKinney did not turn into the next Justin Upton. However as far as I can see you are not trolling, just discussing a current signing.

The components are just so glaringly obvious that it's almost comical there is a debate. This guy has been on my fantasy baseball radar for years now because of the extremely good K/BB skills. He has produced as a good reliever in various stretches in his career. His velocity has trended UP over his career and seems to have taken a huge leap up in 2021. You'd thinking Toronto was paying him a $14M AAV based on the debate in here. $5.5M is precisely "perfectly cromulent middle reliever from free agency" money. Just because Shatkins CAN sign veterans to MiLB deals and milk production out of them does not mean they SHOULD do that. It's $5.5M bucks - that's gum on Ed Rogers' shoe.

Isn’t saying he’s been on your fantasy radar kind of counter productive to your point, all things considered?
