connorp Old-Timey Member Posted October 30, 2021 Posted October 30, 2021 It’s pretty crazy this is like a possible literal historic game..WS no-hitter but doesn’t have that vibe..guess when SP goes 5 makes sense
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted October 30, 2021 Posted October 30, 2021 What a douche bag Rosario. Dive for it.. slide..something
HealthDream007 Verified Member Posted October 30, 2021 Posted October 30, 2021 That could have been caught. Instead, bye-bye no hitter and more importantly, a man on with 0 outs in a 1 run game.
Pinkfloid Verified Member Posted October 30, 2021 Posted October 30, 2021 Not a great effort by Rosario there...
HealthDream007 Verified Member Posted October 30, 2021 Posted October 30, 2021 I guess, I can agree for that reason, but the ass is gone bro. What'd you guys get for Machado? RF Yusniel Diaz who was supposed to be the key piece of the trade is looing like a bust. 3B Rylan Bannon, who might be a utility guy if were lucky. SP Dean Kremer, who looked promising at the end of 2020 but has completely regressed and spent most of the 2021 in the minors and pitched poorly there. I still think he could be a back of the rotation guy, but he needs to rebound. RP Zach Pop who could have been a back end of the bullpen type but we let him go. Still hasn't performed in the majors like that, but I could see us regretting letting him go. INF Breyvic Valera lastly, who really is not much of anything and really wasn't expected to be. Bottom on line, they should have extended Machado earlier, or traded him earlier. Instead they held on to him until he had a 1/2 season control left on him and of course got less value for it.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 30, 2021 Author Posted October 30, 2021 d'Arnould flexin' again.

Yeah, s*****... wow. Diaz might surprise.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 30, 2021 Author Posted October 30, 2021 Braves take a chain rope on them. 2-1
HealthDream007 Verified Member Posted October 30, 2021 Posted October 30, 2021 Just missed it. Thankfully we didn't miss getting a good WS game finally.

Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted October 31, 2021 Posted October 31, 2021 Man, what a snag by Riley!
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted October 31, 2021 Posted October 31, 2021 Really hope Houston wins so all the wankers who bitch and moan about cheating from 5 years ago cry for a month.

Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted October 31, 2021 Posted October 31, 2021 So with relievers pitching more innings than starters over the course of these playoffs. Are we going to see a lot more bullpen money spent across the game this off-season? If this really the strategy going forward how could they not justify paying these relievers. I honestly hate it personally but here we are…

I honestly hate it personally but here we are… I don't think so, at least not for the average reliever. The playoffs have a lot more off-days built in. The pen use is sustainable over a short period, but I think you'd break the pen if you did it over the course of a season. It's actually one of the reasons I think they should eliminate off-days during the series. 7 potential games in 7 days.

Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted October 31, 2021 Posted October 31, 2021 Altuve has been absolutely robbed twice today.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 31, 2021 Author Posted October 31, 2021 Rosario's going to get a raise with this postseason performance.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 31, 2021 Author Posted October 31, 2021 Stros' back against the wall... 3-1 Braves Lead! Good game, well pitched!
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted October 31, 2021 Posted October 31, 2021 Braves…the f***ing Braves go up 3-1. And this is real life. Never could have imagined it when Acuna Jr went down.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted October 31, 2021 Posted October 31, 2021 Rosario's going to get a raise with this postseason performance. Probably, but likely not from Atlanta. They’re too smart to overpay for a 3 week hot streak when they guy is average or below at this point in his career. Guaranteed the Padres sign him for 20 million.

Yup, look at some of the WS winners from the last decade. Miracle teams/lucky teams: 2019 Nationals 2018 Redsox 2015 Royals 2013 Redsox 2011 Cardinals
