Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted November 3, 2021 Author Posted November 3, 2021 Congrats to the Champs... Atlanta Braves! Impressive!
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted November 3, 2021 Posted November 3, 2021 In a season where 3 teams won 100+ games, and a 91 win team finished 4th in their division. The 88 win Atlanta Braves are a prime example of how anything can happen if you just get in.
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted November 3, 2021 Posted November 3, 2021 I want to see Troy Snitker out there giving his dad a hug and congratulations. Pretty special stuff....probably a bit hard for Brian to see his son lose.
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted November 3, 2021 Posted November 3, 2021 Anthopoulos has to be the executive of the year. Great story line of a guy who started as a junior scout. Canadian connection to boot.
Jaysareus Verified Member Posted November 3, 2021 Posted November 3, 2021 Weird how fox isn't saying a word about Atlanta losing the all Star game this year. That was huge motivation for Atlanta this year to prove MLB was wrong to do that.
HealthDream007 Verified Member Posted November 3, 2021 Posted November 3, 2021 Congrats to Atlanta. I doubt many people picked them to win the WS at the start of the year, but that's what makes this game great. I love basketball too but the number of teams that can win it all is very small. But in baseball, anything can happen, and thus the Braves took advantage.
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted November 3, 2021 Posted November 3, 2021 f*** Freddie - who cut the onions?
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted November 3, 2021 Posted November 3, 2021 I don’t see AA anywhere? Did he not travel to Houston for this game??
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted November 3, 2021 Posted November 3, 2021 They are going to backup the Brinks truck to Freddie's door. He's becomes a Brave for life this offseason.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted November 3, 2021 Posted November 3, 2021 They are going to backup the Brinks truck to Freddie's door. He's becomes a Brave for life this offseason. Well they can definitely afford him thanks to the sweetheart deals Acuna and Albies took
BTS Community Moderator Posted November 3, 2021 Posted November 3, 2021 Has to be a bit bittersweet for Acuna.
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted November 3, 2021 Posted November 3, 2021 104 days until the Jays report to Spring Training....
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted November 3, 2021 Author Posted November 3, 2021 104 days until the Jays report to Spring Training.... Not that long, really, lol.

Slade Old-Timey Member Posted November 3, 2021 Posted November 3, 2021 I don’t see AA anywhere? Did he not travel to Houston for this game?? He got covid.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted November 3, 2021 Posted November 3, 2021 So annoying that the crappy Braves win the world series They’re not crappy
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted November 3, 2021 Posted November 3, 2021 Braves had 44 wins at the All Star Break, won 44 games after and scored 44 runs in the World Series. Was Hank looking over this team? I'll let you decide.

John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted November 3, 2021 Posted November 3, 2021 Couple of beauties - Free and Crime. And given that Ozuna wasn't with the team for the series, their players were Crime Free.
intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted November 4, 2021 Posted November 4, 2021 Has there ever been a WS champ who would literally be in last place had they finished their season in the AL East?
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted November 4, 2021 Posted November 4, 2021 Has there ever been a WS champ who would literally be in last place had they finished their season in the AL East? Behind the Orioles?
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted November 4, 2021 Posted November 4, 2021 Behind the Orioles? Yeah I didn’t get where that was going either
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted November 4, 2021 Posted November 4, 2021 Behind the Orioles? I think he's saying if Atlanta was in our division, replacing the O's.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted November 4, 2021 Author Posted November 4, 2021 Alex on Tim and Friends, pretty candid, lol... https://www.sportsnet.ca/videos/leagues/mlb-video/
intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted November 4, 2021 Posted November 4, 2021 Behind the Orioles? I really just meant fifth. They're not behind the Orioles. Has any WS champ ever only qualified for fifth in another division was the intent behind what I wrote.
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted November 5, 2021 Posted November 5, 2021 I really just meant fifth. They're not behind the Orioles. Has any WS champ ever only qualified for fifth in another division was the intent behind what I wrote. OK. Probably not. But that's what makes it so great. Teams in pretty much any other division have a legit shot but we get to participate in the most challenging division in Baseball year in and year out. Isn't that great.

Dick_Pole Old-Timey Member Posted November 6, 2021 Posted November 6, 2021 1987 Minnesota Twins. That was easy.
