Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted September 5, 2021 Posted September 5, 2021 Ray had 45 walks in 51.2 innings last season. Through 163.2 innings this season he only has 40 walks. Absolutely crazy.
DigitalRock Old-Timey Member Posted September 5, 2021 Posted September 5, 2021 Can we can resign both (Ray & Semien) because both will be looking for long-term deals while we need cash available for Vladdy/Bo in 2023 (if I am not mistaken) Ray had 45 walks in 51.2 innings last season. Through 163.2 innings this season he only has 40 walks. Absolutely crazy. It's that Pete walker zen
jaysguy44 Old-Timey Member Posted September 5, 2021 Posted September 5, 2021 Is it necessary for Springer to still be playing in this game?
InvincibleTiger Verified Member Posted September 5, 2021 Posted September 5, 2021 Oh boy, here come the Red Sox Bloody Indians We aren't gonna make up any games, are we
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted September 5, 2021 Posted September 5, 2021 Springer's knee is definitely impacting his swing.
jaysguy44 Old-Timey Member Posted September 5, 2021 Posted September 5, 2021 Oh boy, here come the Red Sox Bloody Indians Yup, not looking good.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted September 5, 2021 Posted September 5, 2021 Is it necessary for Springer to still be playing in this game? Get his timing back down

Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted September 5, 2021 Posted September 5, 2021 Time to shuffle the divisions. East sucks it’s to hard. To be the best, you've gotta beat the best. That said, I wouldn't be at all opposed to being in the Central.

Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted September 5, 2021 Posted September 5, 2021 Insane to think that we have 4 all stars, 1 CY young candidate, and 1 still in striking distance for triple crown yet we are so far behind in post season race. Let this be a lesson that you can have a Cy Young contender, MVP contender, multiple All Stars, and yet your bullpen can f*** your ass like a horny grizzly bear.
jaysguy44 Old-Timey Member Posted September 5, 2021 Posted September 5, 2021 Wow, Sox pissed away a huge opportunity there. Men on 2nd & 3rd with 0 outs, couldn't cash either one of them in. Stays 6-3 Indians
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted September 5, 2021 Posted September 5, 2021 No kidding, I hit send, switched back to the game and first pitch after hitting send was the double, lol Wreaking Havok I see.

BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted September 5, 2021 Posted September 5, 2021 Ray is mind boggling how well he has thrown with pretty much 2 pitches. They know what’s coming. It’s 93-96 FB and a slider getting 47% whiffs. RHH after RHH swinging over top of that down and in slider. It’s been phenomenal to watch a guy who used to have dominate stuff and be wild just become just dominant.

jerb Verified Member Posted September 5, 2021 Posted September 5, 2021 Toronto Blue Jays @BlueJays @RobbieRay is the FIRST pitcher in team HISTORY with 10+ Ks in four straight starts!
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted September 5, 2021 Posted September 5, 2021 Honestly a good call by Montoyo getting him. Hes worked really hard in a couple innings tonight. No point pushing him 110+ pitches in an 8-0 game.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted September 5, 2021 Posted September 5, 2021 Anytime you take a record from Roger Clemens you gotta feel good about yourself. It is truly nice to have an elite strikeout Starting Pitcher. It would be nice if we could get a few elite K rate guys in the Bullpen.
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted September 5, 2021 Posted September 5, 2021 I don't want to see any of Romano, Mayza, Cimber or Richards used today. Need them for NYY Richards in. That's one.
Olerud363 Old-Timey Member Posted September 5, 2021 Posted September 5, 2021 Randy Johnson. Fastball... Slider. Rinse. Repeat. His numbers in his 20s are very Randy Johnson'ish. Great k-rate, bad control, breakthrough at 29... control wasn't quite as bad as Johnson's.

It does kinda suck when you look at the NL East and the winner of that Division might finish with a worst record than a 4th place team.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted September 5, 2021 Posted September 5, 2021 Oh you can’t do that….that’s a HR jacket, pitchers should have their own. The juju on that jacket is now gone.
