Nah. I'd rather win.

Yeah, I really wish the Jays had been 70-92 instead of 67-95 in 2019 so they could have watched the Mariners or Pirates walk away with Martin.

I'd "rather win" too but the Blue Jays haven't done that in 28 years. Meanwhile, the Cubs, Astros, Nationals and Red Sox have all turned tanking seasons into World Series wins in recent years.

They made the playoffs last year and it was a fun season.

They sucked ass the year before and got Martin.

Enough tanking for a while, thanks.

oh f***. I really hope the hype is real. Did Jays get back to back steals in the 1st round?

This isn't a steal, it's just a potentially nice pick.

Fair enough.

FB ticked up to 95-97, plus command and wicked secondaries. High IQ, great arm action, throws a ton of strikes. Come back healthy and we have a stud top 10 talent at #19.

Satisfied with the Hoglund pick.

Anybody know what's wrong with Madden?

Mixed reviews, some people think despite his velocity his stuff is not that good. Might be a good target for a team with multiple picks.

Command plus stuff. Sounds like his secondaries are really strong.

Guy looks filled out. Likely no room for projection?

Are the command type of pitchers starting to be coveted instead of the more raw power arm types?

Given that all the best starting pitchers in the league throw gas, I'm going with no

Yes, if you can throw strikes and have decent stuff probably more valuable than the guys who can throw triple digits but can't hit the zone. Especially since they are able to squeeze more velocity out of guys now.
