Rowdy Tellez PH 3 run go ahead HR.

So Toronto appears to have capitulated and sold the absolute bottom on Tellez. Hmmmm.

Sick trade

f*** you Rowdy, I knew you sucked and went on the record about it and then you had to go and embarrass me with a mirage 133 wRC+ during the 2020 scam season

Rowdy and I have a complicated relationship. The problem is that he does suck but he can also hit.

lol... regardless it was a fair deal.

Longenhagen seems reasonably certain that Bowden Francis can stick in the back of the rotation. Hopefully he pans out. Brewers might have the pitching development system in the league.

Yeah, if Bowden ends up a rotation piece, the Jays are laughing in this deal.

Should we just assume everyone is non-binary now?

Is 'it' acceptable as well?

I don't know or care if EastCoaster has a dick (or how they identify regardless of dickitude), so "their" is appropriate.

He went from .292 up to a .340 in 6 plate appearances, that's what small samples do, mon!

He now has a wRC+ 100... I seen it coming, just saying.

Here's his line now... .340/448/638, wOBA .446, wRC+ 180

He's obviously hitting better than he can sustain, but also no one should be surprised that he's hitting much better than he was here. I'm pretty sure the few times I checked his xWOBA was significantly better than his actual results. He was gonna wind up hitting better at some point. He is a pretty decent hitter generally. For 1B you hope for a bit more, but he's better than a decent number of guys other teams are trotting out there.

Honestly we also wound up with a decent return given we sold him while he was hitting so badly.

It will hurt me if Rowdy puts it together in Milwaukee. I always believed he could do it here if we gave him more time.

Although I hate the idea of having a full time DH and with Vlad being a 1B, would have been too tough for him to do it here.

I have always loved Rowdy as a player but the Jays weren't the right org for him. I will continue to root for him and hope becomes a legend in Milwaukee.

I believe that's the consensus here, just can't wait for that party!

Ya, for me Rowdy was a blend of tantalizing hope and suck. He has big pop and I always felt if given 600 PAs he would be a well above average bat. Personally he seems like a really good guy.

Haven't looked in awhile but in 2020 sample his wRC+ was 130. Hope he continues to rake there, except against us.

Just don't get the obsession with this guy so he got traded which was the best thing for him. Tellez had a chance with the Blue Jays till the day they made Vladdy the first baseman then Rowdy would become nothing more than a bench player. The Twins actually released David Ortiz in 2003 the Red Sox signed him for nothing and the rest is history he became a 10 time All-Star it was the best thing for his career. The Blue Jays needs were more urgent for arms that a bat in the line up so management did the best thing for the team trade Tellez for some much needed arms and they got a good reliever in Richards and a potential starter in Francis which is a win for the Blue Jays. I don't know about any of you but the team is in a much better situation going down the stretch than before I rather see a Richards coming out of the BP than a Chatwood, Thorton or Thomas Hatch. Everyone should be concern on what the Rays, Red Sox and Yankees are doing right now especially that Rizzo has been hot for the Yanks. I like our chances much better now big weekend coming up with the Red Sox they have to win this series to make some gain.

Mate, your last two posts in this thread have more words in them than every other post in the last three pages, combined.

You are the one with a fixation. Move on. Rowdy is gone. You don't need to justify the trade to yourself anymore. David Ortiz references don't help at all, by the way, lmao.

I thought I was the biggest rowdy fan..lol. At the time we traded him, I was convinced we traded an .800 to .850 OPS bat who plays solid first base defense. He needed regular ABs and needed to play 1st to extract the value. I hope he can develop into an .850+ OPS bat, but at the time we traded him I don't think you could reasonable expect that he was that guy. He likely falls back to earth.

We replaced him with Dickerson for almost nothing. He's an .850 OPS bat against righties. With the platoon options we have we're laughing and we got the bullpen help we desperately needed.

It really was a good trade by two teams going for it that benefited both sides. You don't see trades like that often anymore. I'm sure brewer fans at the time of the trade were thinking that it was light on their end.

I'll always be a Rowdy fan. He is a good dude. I'm glad he went to a Brewers team I can cheer for.

I couldn't care less how Tellez does because he isn't a Blue Jays anymore unlike some who thinks they traded away the franchise player and that honor belong to Guerrero. Big deal anyone who thinks he was going to hang around here as bench player is highly mistaken even though he would end up being a 50 HR hitter it wouldn't be the first mistake a GM made on a trade all we know is that it wasn't working out for him here in Toronto. Now he has a chance to rejuvenate his career so why the long faces. They traded Gio Urshella to the Yankees for cash today he turned out to be the 9th ranked best 3rd baseman in the MLB so I don't see too many crying over than deal. I know for a fact the team is much better now than before and that all we can ask for being Blue Jays fans

Have you given your strawman a name? It's impolite to argue against a made up person without a name you know.

Who said Rowdy was a franchise player? Please name names. Otherwise, don't make s*** up.
