But they have meetings with Pete Walker and Bullpen coach, going over the whole opposing lineup, batter by batter, and the scouting report prior to each series. Maybe Reese doesn't get it?

 

This is all eye-test here, but I don't remember ever seeing so many pitch-calls by a catcher that nailed the glove get squared up.

 

Didn't see it with Jansen, don't see it with Adams.

 

So either they're all game calling the same via dugout instructions and Reese is Mr Unlucky, or the catchers' game calling is mostly up to them, or at least they have final say.

 

I'm leaving towards the latter.

Watching the Adams - McGuire tandem for a while shockingly makes one miss Danny Jansen and his adequate mitt / game calling. Mostly the game calling and rapport with the pitchers.

I’ve taken to just opening the MLB app post game with one eye open to peek at the score with a sick feeling in the pit of my stomach. Which then gets worse. Below .500 June 17. Ugh.

Has anyone else been crushing it by live betting against the Jays when the bullpens get involved? I hate to do it, but the pen/Chralie's game calling is just such a glaring weakness right now that it's easy to capitalize on. Been like printing money lately.

 

Thank God we'll be going to Baltimore now tho, Jays should be able to tear them apart. If not... Will Atkins fire Montoyo to try and right the ship?

Jays have lost 5 of their last 7 games from the 7th inning or later(YIKES!), Chuckles ain't getting fired, bro. They just extended the man, now the OS might be different, that's if the Jays completely s*** the bed. Atkins needs to kick a guy or 2 to the curb and get one of Hatch/Pearson up here to help now, they can always option them back, when guys from the IL come back.
