What happened?

Tried to steal 2B and his leg blew out while he was running. Had to be helped off the field by the trainers. I don't know what kind of injury that is, but it can't be good.

Kind of sad if that's the way he actually goes out. A perfectly cromulent major league career, 28.5 fWAR across 14 seasons.

Apparently that was his first attempted stolen base since 2019. Old dudes should probably just walk around the bases.

Imagine being a Mariners fan at this game. All the excitement of Kelenic and Gilbert only for your team to be no hit by Zach Plesac.

This game had very few redeeming qualities and I feel worse for having sat through it.

Good night!

Best part of this game was Bryan Shaw vulturing a save for me in the LOD, and while Clase did tank my ratios in a few leagues at least he got the hold out of it too.

I tuned in to see the top prospects debut and this game was still disappointing. The Mariners may be the most boring team in baseball and have been for a long time now.

I thought they were pretty exciting the year they missed the playoffs by a game. They had Cano, Cruz, Segura, prime Seager, prime Felix, Paxton, Walker....

They’re pretty crap now but at least they have some exciting young players in Lewis, Haniger, Kelenic and Gilbert. That’s more than you can say for some teams like the Tigers and Royals.

That year had to hurt for Mariners fans. They haven't made the playoffs for 20 years and had another 18 year drought shortly before that. They are such a trainwreck that I almost have more faith in the Tigers to turn things around first.

Nah, they aren't a trainwreck, they are on the cusp of becoming the new Padres.

I like the top end of the farm system, but it has mediocre depth and their best players on a bad MLB team are 33 year old Kyle Seager and Chris Flexen. There could be some playoff baseball starting on 2023 or 24, but saying they are on the cusp is a stretch.

The Royals aren't that bad. They have a good number of high upside young arms (Singer, Lynch, Bubic, Lacy, Kowar) and Bobby Witt Jr. on the way. Also some watchable talent on the real team this year. They remain annoying to play and I don't think that is changing any time soon.
