I mean - hitters feel like they've been cheated over the past 3-4 years, but given all the sign stealing that was happening at the same time - perhaps they should all STFU.

 

One could argue that catchers and pitchers communicating the signs, let alone the infielders, is also cheating. If the defense can communicate the signs, the offense should be allowed to try to decipher them (without the aid of technology or trash cans of course). Seriously though, I would LOVE to see a runner out at second just shout out the pitch to the batter when they figure them out. You want to really mess with a pitcher's head? That'll do it.

How is that comparable? There is a big difference between a .400 OBP and a .330 OBP.

 

And didn't I acknowledge that?

 

The other player is Luis Urias, who just hit his 10th HR of the season between my first post and this one.

 

This is more a commentary on the rather underwhelming Soto season to date.

If the allegations are true, he's, at the very least, an idiot for getting that rough even if she wanted him to. That's opening yourself up to a world of hurt.

That isn’t even the worst part. She apparently suffered facial and head trauma, and had signs of skull fractures.

 

Bauer may be f***ed if these allegations are true.

Yeah, but she can't delete them off Bauer's phone. He'd be able to fill in the blanks for investigators immediately. Regardless, I don't see why anyone would agree to meet a second time if he did all that the first time without her consent. It'll play out in court and maybe eventually we'll know the truth. To me, it kind of sounds like she set Bauer up. Both will probably lose, and the lawyers will win.

I'm disappointed in the amount of people calling for him to be banned from baseball. This is currently a he-said-she-said situation, and the possible outcomes range from Bauer being a criminal, to him having done nothing wrong except exercise poor judgment.

In today's world you're guilty until proven innocent ... by which time everyone has moved onto the next outrage and never see the innocent part announced.

Victim blaming without all the facts is a real bad look, it's rare for these types of accusations to be false it's risky, hard coming out with accusations like this, just look at crosby getting off today, plus people like you blaming the victims. smearing.......

Not that I believe either side at this point, there's just not nearly enough information, but this does happen particularly in a power disparity situation. "I really want this celebrity to like me... Maybe he didn't mean it..." that sort of thing.

Juries are made up of people. Continuing relationships like nothing happened after a supposed rape is just something a lot of people will struggle with. Really you kind of have to suspend your disbelief to be a supporter. Or like with Cosby or the movie guy where there’s like 50 people lining up

For all we know Bauer is the victim. Random starts flirting with him on Instagram, appealing to his darkest fantasies, indulges him, and then it was all perhaps a coordinated effort to sue him or she decides to ruin him after he doesn't want to marry her or some s***.
