Rays do not care about pitch counts at all. They have said that pitch counts mean nothing it's times seen. Don't manage a playoffs different than the regular season. I like the concept. In the end the best team won. No pitching move would have made a difference.

 

Exactly. People can arm chair and belly ache about how butt hurt they are that baseball is changing and they don't like change - but this is reality. Although it may not seem that way, baseball is a combination of soft factors (gut feelings, eye test) and hard factors (analytics). All teams use a combination of both to make the thousands of decisions during the course of a game.

Wow so they aren’t even getting these Covid results BEFORE the games start. What an awful system in place. Its a wonder they were able to make it through the season.

Trout's never going to ask for a trade....7 or 8 years from now when he's played in 3 total post season games maybe the angels will trade him and give him a shot at playing in the post season.
