Bro, it’s the playoffs. Everything is more of a story than it’d be in the regular season. If a guy hits 3 hrs in a game during regular season it’s kinda ho-hum. Playoffs it’s a story. Kershaw has a bad game in April nobody cares. Someone does a bat flip in May, not a story like it would be in WS.

The narrative will repeat indefinitely though. It doesn't matter how many times a SP gets pulled and the bullpen does their job, or how many times a SP gets left in and blows the game... people are more compelled by veteran starters with bloody socks throwing 7+ innings and 100+ pitches, and for obvious reasons.

 

So we will have to suffer this narrative forever, I think.
