gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted August 31, 2020 Posted August 31, 2020 Dumbtoya will remove Anderson after 5 innings with 8 K throwing 84 pitches but stuck with Roark three batters deep into the sixth after throwing 80 pitches after five.
Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted August 31, 2020 Posted August 31, 2020 Why is Font in the game!!! Arghh

saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted August 31, 2020 Posted August 31, 2020 I'm really glad we have Font up to face the top of the lineup.
DigitalRock Old-Timey Member Posted August 31, 2020 Posted August 31, 2020 Font time, hold onto your butts
LGBJ29 Verified Member Posted August 31, 2020 Posted August 31, 2020 It seems the early hook is mostly to avoid having the starters face the order a third time. Bringing in Wilmer Font however doesn't seem like a solid alternative
RobinThicc Verified Member Posted August 31, 2020 Posted August 31, 2020 Wouldve just let anderson keep going until the orioles started getting to him
DigitalRock Old-Timey Member Posted August 31, 2020 Posted August 31, 2020 Montoyo is really, really bad.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted August 31, 2020 Posted August 31, 2020 Buck ripping into Montoyo for pulling Anderson early, and tbh it's hard to disagree. Anderson's best start of the year facing an absolute dogshit lineup. Let the man work.
M.E. Verified Member Posted August 31, 2020 Posted August 31, 2020 f*** you CHarlie. Complains we are not getting depth in starting pitchers and then yanks one that has more in him. We will never see a 122 pitch CG like Wainright did yesterday
DigitalRock Old-Timey Member Posted August 31, 2020 Posted August 31, 2020 lol predictable...worst Manager ever. Font is bad
EdwinsParrot Old-Timey Member Posted August 31, 2020 Posted August 31, 2020 cant let them face him 3 times f***ing ridiculous
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted August 31, 2020 Posted August 31, 2020 FFS If Font was a font, he would be comic sans.
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted August 31, 2020 Posted August 31, 2020 lol predictable...worst Manager ever. Font is bad Font is basically the exact same guy he was last year. He's just had awful luck this year. BABIP of like .469 and a LOB% of like 45% In a short season - there's no time for bad luck.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted August 31, 2020 Author Posted August 31, 2020 Of all options how is Font always put in these spots. Like absolutely no reason to use him in games you are winning. We just took the effing lead. Why?
THANOS Old-Timey Member Posted August 31, 2020 Posted August 31, 2020 The incompetence of Montoyo is really going to shine in the playoffs to the point where I doubt it will be possible for him to begin 2021 as the manager.
DigitalRock Old-Timey Member Posted August 31, 2020 Posted August 31, 2020 Fire this clown This team is too good already to have this guy Managing. I am amazed how bad he has been, makes me miss Gibby. Atkins and Co cannot be happy with these in game decisions? We need a better manager.
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted August 31, 2020 Posted August 31, 2020 Legit, how many net losses/runs has Charlie been worth? He is so f***ing brutal. Anderson just sailing. s*** line up. And brings in Font FFS.
Laika Community Moderator Posted August 31, 2020 Posted August 31, 2020 If left to his own devices a guy like Charlie Montoyo would just let Anderson come out for the 6th. Decisions like that are coming from above, based on agreed upon managerial strategies. You can also rest assured that statistically it is probably the right move regardless of result.
