Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted August 23, 2020 Posted August 23, 2020 Gotta take back all the nasty comments I made about Charlie pulling Shoe early his last start
Funky Verified Member Posted August 23, 2020 Posted August 23, 2020 Not good. Just when we are looking for innings out of our starters. I like Shoemaker. Hopefully itÂ’s a short stint.
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted August 23, 2020 Posted August 23, 2020 Seems about right. He had 5 starts last season before he was shut down for the season. At least he's consistent.
glory Old-Timey Member Posted August 23, 2020 Posted August 23, 2020 Explains why Shoe was pulled so quickly in the last start. Definitely need to add a SP now with Pearson and Shoe out.
Laika Community Moderator Posted August 23, 2020 Author Posted August 23, 2020 Looks like Trent just went down too. Patrick Murphy time?
bronson44 Verified Member Posted August 23, 2020 Posted August 23, 2020 Hatch Buckets era begins Are you talking about piggybacking them or moving both to the rotation?
Slade Old-Timey Member Posted August 23, 2020 Posted August 23, 2020 Looks like Trent just went down too. Patrick Murphy time? I would guess they would go to Zeuch, Kay or Yamaguchi with both Thorton and Shoe down.
BlueRocky Old-Timey Member Posted August 23, 2020 Posted August 23, 2020 Are you talking about piggybacking them or moving both to the rotation? Piggyback Hatch 3 IP Kay 3 IP To replace Shoemaker
TheHurl Site Manager Posted August 23, 2020 Posted August 23, 2020 They have to start using the second guy in for more innings. Even if they give up a run. Treat them like a 12 to 15 batter starter

Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 23, 2020 Posted August 23, 2020 Why can't we have nice things.
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted August 23, 2020 Posted August 23, 2020 Why can't we have nice things. Because these are the Toronto Blue Jays.

BlueRocky Old-Timey Member Posted August 23, 2020 Posted August 23, 2020 1. Hyun-Jin Ryu 2. Chase Anderson 3. Tanner Roark 4. ?? 5. ??? IL: Nate Pearson, Matt Shoemaker, Trent Thornton Options: Anthony Kay, Thomas Hatch, Jacob Waguespack, Julian Merryweather, Patrick Murphy, TJ Zeuch, Sean Reid-Foley, Simeon Woods-Richardson, Alek Manoah

Almost might as well at this point.
BlueRocky Old-Timey Member Posted August 24, 2020 Posted August 24, 2020 I would consider bringing up Simeon or Manoah for a spot start, it will have close to no impact in terms of their service time. It wouldn’t interrupt the BP, and would be good to get their debuts out of the way. There’s only so much you can work on pitching to Jonathan Davis and Forrest Wall at Rochester. Hatch Buckets can fill a spot, but we need two starters. Please no Waguespack, I rather see Patrick Murphy.

Zero chance they add either to the 40 before giving allllll of the names ahead of them a chance. Murphy is on the 40 and is the only interesting, non-roster spot start option.

I'm in.

Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted August 24, 2020 Posted August 24, 2020 Shoemaker was interviewed after the game and said he felt good and wanted to pitch further into the game. I don't know if the injury and early hook are connected.

glory Old-Timey Member Posted August 24, 2020 Posted August 24, 2020 Where is TJ Zoinks? Haven't heard his name at all since Summer Camp started up. Not a huge fan of his, but he had moderate success in the bigs last season and he's on the 40 man. But yeah at this point bring up Murphy and see what he could do.
wilko Old-Timey Member Posted August 24, 2020 Posted August 24, 2020 Damn, who's going to fill the void now?
Arjun Nimmala Vancouver Canadians - A+ SS It's been slow going at the start of the season for Nimmala, but on Sunday, he was 3-for-5 with his 3rd home run and 3 RBI. Explore Arjun Nimmala News >
