saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted August 22, 2020 Posted August 22, 2020 Ok...if Ryu is on tomorrow, can we give him 110 pitches and give the bullpen a rest for goodness sakes.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted August 22, 2020 Posted August 22, 2020 Holy f*** Nikki Reyes aged. I remember when she was young and hot. Atleast the Bargnani years had one bright spot.
BlueRocky Old-Timey Member Posted August 22, 2020 Posted August 22, 2020 Everything is going right for the Rays. HOLY f*** WHAT A THROW. Just keep smashing Teoscar Jesus Vladdy!! Gurriel had to admire how majestic that swing was lol. Great play Espinal!!!!!!!! Jesus Christ Vladdy almost tore his MCL catching a foul pop up. I’m actually shocked he didn’t hurt himself falling like that. Incredibly awkward.

Ray Verified Member Posted August 22, 2020 Posted August 22, 2020 I hope they consider a Biggio extension this offseason. He’s been very exceptional, very quick.

WILLIEUPSHAW Verified Member Posted August 22, 2020 Posted August 22, 2020 Those deep knee bends are a waste of energy isn't he pretty much exactly mimicking Giles with that ?
Ex Player Verified Member Posted August 22, 2020 Posted August 22, 2020 Montoyo is on another lvl He's 13-11 right now

If Shoe can only give us 74 pitches there's no way Ryu going to give us 110. I don't get it but they seem to not want anyone getting 4 at bats against a guy.
Ex Player Verified Member Posted August 22, 2020 Posted August 22, 2020 We are winning by a country mile!!!!!!!!!!!!
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted August 22, 2020 Posted August 22, 2020 Something he has only done once since 2014 and the Dodgers had to give him a full week off after it. He pitched 116, 103, 105. 107, 107. 106, 104, 102, 101 in 9 of his starts last year. He played for the dodgers who won 106 games. So give him 105. Oh and f*** off. We're playing 31 games in 29 days.

Hurl makes a great point, showing that your post was off base. Be an adult about it.

It seems more and more that they are focusing less on total pitches thrown but more so on how those pitches are 'spread out' through the innings and correspondingly how many pitches in stress/high-leverage situations. If Ryu can cruise through 7 ip with 110 pitches, I wouldn't be totally surprised. But once things get dicey in the 5th or 6th and the pitch count is up, few guys get left in there anymore.
Carlos Danger Old-Timey Member Posted August 22, 2020 Posted August 22, 2020 biggio with a .921 OPS now.....what a player. If Bo was back we'd have 4 players with an OPS north of .900 right now! We should probably drop him down to 9th or maybe platoon him with Panic...
Ex Player Verified Member Posted August 22, 2020 Posted August 22, 2020 Montoyo can do no wrong!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ex Player Verified Member Posted August 22, 2020 Posted August 22, 2020 The future is bright We may never lose again
Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted August 22, 2020 Posted August 22, 2020 We may never lose again The playoffs will be easy to make.
WILLIEUPSHAW Verified Member Posted August 22, 2020 Posted August 22, 2020 The playoffs will be easy to make. But making the 8th seed and then upsetting the Yankees in round 1 would be epic!!!!!
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted August 23, 2020 Posted August 23, 2020 InB4 tomorrow Montoyo pulls Ryu in the 5th after 84 pitches 94 pitches. Close.
