glory Old-Timey Member Posted August 29, 2020 Posted August 29, 2020 Our old buddy Edward Olivares going to the Royals.
BlueRocky Old-Timey Member Posted August 29, 2020 Posted August 29, 2020 I like this move for the Padres. They're really good this year and BP has been their main issue.
baubau Verified Member Posted August 30, 2020 Posted August 30, 2020 I don't know how reliable this source is, but apparently the PTBNL for Walker is an outfielder. They *hope* it is Robertson but could be Conine or Brown. https://truetothetrident.com/2020/08/27/seattle-mariners-trade-taijuan-walker-for-mystery-player/ We also learned from Joe Doyle of Lookout Landing and Prospects Live that the prospect is going to be a position player. So we shrink our list by removing all the pitchers. Finally, Jason Churchill of Prospect Insider revealed that he learned that the player was not a catcher or infielder. So, what we have left are outfielders. Assuming all the bread crumbs are true, this leaves us with 3 potential options; Griffin Conine, Dasan Brown, and Will Robertson.
BlueRocky Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2020 Posted August 30, 2020 Chavez Young and Josh Palacios were kinda top 30s at one point

BlueRocky Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2020 Posted August 30, 2020 Ask: Andrelton Simmons Hope: David Fletcher Actual: Mike Trout
jaysguy44 Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2020 Posted August 30, 2020 Mitch Moreland has been traded to the San Diego Padres, as @ByRobertMurray reported. Outfielder Jeisson Rosario and third baseman Hudson Potts are headed back to Boston. Padres had an upcoming roster crunch this winter and Boston gets a couple of good prospects back.
Bturn2210 Verified Member Posted August 30, 2020 Posted August 30, 2020 Mark Feinsand Francisco Lindor's name has been mentioned in some preliminary trade talks, per source. There's no indication the Indians are planning to move him, but the possibility exists. Lindor has one more year of control before hitting free agency.
Laika Community Moderator Posted August 30, 2020 Posted August 30, 2020 That's a massive return for Mitch Moreland.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2020 Posted August 30, 2020 That's a massive return for Mitch Moreland. You are an idiot and you suck and your moderation sucks
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2020 Posted August 30, 2020 I think Lindor would have been traded if this was a normal season. But with Clevelands pitching and the playoff format I think you take a shot at the World Series and trade him in the off-season
King Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2020 Posted August 30, 2020 Boxcar comes back and immediately starts spewing his BS.

saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2020 Posted August 30, 2020 I like this move for the Padres. They're really good this year and BP has been their main issue. I like this move because they were linked to Lynn as are we. Let's go get Lance Lynn!
Ryu In My House Verified Member Posted August 30, 2020 Posted August 30, 2020 I like this move because they were linked to Lynn as are we. Let's go get Lance Lynn! Or Dylan Bundy and Simmons from the A's. And then Longoria from the Giants. Then I think we're set.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2020 Posted August 30, 2020 Or Dylan Bundy and Simmons from the A's. And then Longoria from the Giants. Then I think we're set. Have you seen Longoria’s salary f*** no. Giants would have to eat a massive amount of that. Also if the Jays added an infielder I would be disappointed if it was Simmons. Would prefer if we added an infielder that could actually hit like Asdrubal Cabrera.
Bturn2210 Verified Member Posted August 30, 2020 Posted August 30, 2020 Heyman now saying there's a good chance Clevinger is dealt before the deadline. Let's go Ross!!
Perfect Game Verified Member Posted August 30, 2020 Posted August 30, 2020 You guys are a lot smarter than me at the advanced metrics so you'd know the answer to this better than I would, but what about Wil Meyers? His bat has come around, he can play 3rd, 1st & OF. Moreland & Hosmer make him redundant at 1st & they've got plenty of OF's. His salary isn't ridiculous & the Friars have been wanting to move him for awhile now. Maybe we can buy a prospect or two from them if we take on all the money.

Cabrera, Seager, Longoria in that order. I would only take Longoria if they ate a lot of salary. Tampa is already paying some salary so he's 16.6, 14.6 with a 5 mil buyout in year three. At least half the salary and I'm not giving you anything but a lottery ticket back.

I would in a heartbeat Myers is hammering breaking balls to the tune of a .314 average and half of his 8 homers have come off this pitch. For reference, he hit .154 with a 43.6 percent whiff rate in 2019. It probably also helps that Myers isn’t constantly being moved all around the diamond, settling into the permanent right field spot this year.
BlueRocky Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2020 Posted August 30, 2020 Moreland and daddy Martinez are out of the division. Red Sox and Rays are toast.
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2020 Posted August 30, 2020 f***....I really don't want to see Lynn go to the sox or the Twins. He not only helps us, but if we miss out we fall further behind. Go get him.
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2020 Posted August 30, 2020 I would in a heartbeat Save the money and put it into an offer for Realmuto in the offseason. Meyers is getting paid way too much.
