Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2020 Posted August 20, 2020 Another Guerrero liner that he isn't able to turn into two bases. It's kind of funny and sad that as bad as he has looked at the plate at times he's also been unlucky I guess. But if he's in better shape that has to be two bases easily. When hitting the ball really hard works against you
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2020 Posted August 20, 2020 I can't even imagine Charlie having the balls to push Donaldson out of the way, never mind say anything. Donaldson would literally body slam Montoyo and Charlie would just walk back to the dugout and pretend it didn’t happen.

glory Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2020 Posted August 20, 2020 Is there anyway he can start, or is he strictly a pen arm at this point in his career? He missed all of 2018, threw 6 innings in 2019, and then got hurt in spring training this year. He turns 29 in a few months. He's probably a reliever at best.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2020 Posted August 20, 2020 3 hits by this part of the order is nothing short of a miracle. Can we atleast get a run out of this FFS.
KevinGregg Verified Member Posted August 20, 2020 Posted August 20, 2020 No PH Are You Retarded Classic Charlie. Rowdy and Jansen and Gurriel all available
Ex Player Verified Member Posted August 20, 2020 Posted August 20, 2020 Whats the over/under Vladdie ever hits a big league inside the parker??
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2020 Posted August 20, 2020 Espinal is looking a lot less useless at the plate the last couple of games. Nice swing there to drive in a run.

Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2020 Posted August 20, 2020 Productive out. Cant be mad at that
EdwinsParrot Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2020 Posted August 20, 2020 Will certainly take that.
BlueRocky Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2020 Posted August 20, 2020 Biggio & Grichuk needs to cash in these runs
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2020 Posted August 20, 2020 That’s about as hard as Espinal can hit a ball so I will take it. It would have been depressing if we got 3 straight hits without a run because Vlad is fat.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2020 Posted August 20, 2020 When hitting the ball really hard works against you That's his third would-be double that ends up as a long single. This is the one aspect where him simply being in better shape would make his performance stand out more even if nothing else changed (and should change of course).
KevinGregg Verified Member Posted August 20, 2020 Posted August 20, 2020 Productive out. Cant be mad at that You can be mad that he (and McGuire) were allowed to hit there at all... so sick of him managing like this is a bunch of 10 year olds whose moms are going to chew him out if he pinch hits for her kid

The fact that he's 21 and I'm saying that is sad.

Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2020 Posted August 20, 2020 Is there anyway he can start, or is he strictly a pen arm at this point in his career? Considering we acquired him injured, and hasn't pitched for two seasons, it's probably a pipe dream for him to be a starter going forward. Might as well just try him out as an elite multi-inning reliever.
bones10 Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2020 Posted August 20, 2020 I think Biggio is my favourite out him vlad and bichette.

Although this is only a 7 inning game.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2020 Posted August 20, 2020 I think Biggio is my favourite out him vlad and bichette. I love both Biggio and Bichette. Dramatically different approaches but both enjoyable to watch.
