I don't understand why it's so hard for you guys to understand that he has zero command of the fastball. He got cold after the long inning and was missing all over the place again, so he goes to the breaking ball which he has a bit more feel for. He was becoming visibly frustrated with his fastball misses and threw one as slow as 93 in order to get one in for a strike, and still missed.

 

His command was good. Even that inning. Its garbage pitch selection

He doesn’t have any command of his slider or much command of anything period. The point is he needs to make teams beat him with the Fastball. If he can’t throw strikes with his Fastball he needs to be sent down to Rochester until he can.

Pearson throwing fastballs all over the place at 93-94 isn't going to help his development.

 

The odd thing is both Buck and Shulman don't recognize this either....they continue to just bitch that he didn't throw his fastball more. So dumb.

Never been a fan of Pete Walker.

 

He always seemed to just keep his job lol. But from the lack of pitching success this organization has had and the fact that non of the pitchers that come up seem to miss bats. Seems to be an organizational issue more than just a Pete Walker issue.

Pearson should be sent down.

 

Agree, he has no command whatsoever. He’s also never ready to pitch in the first. I think he’d definitely get sent down if it was a regular season. Not sure what to do with him this year... probably just let him play
