Carlos Danger Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2020 Posted August 9, 2020 We don’t say that name around these parts. Funny thing is, a few years ago a LOT of posters on here were saying SRF will be a stud and Romano will be toiling in AAA or driving for UPS... I guess Romano has won the survivor series so far..
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2020 Posted August 9, 2020 SRF had potential as a reliever but his velocity has fallen off a cliff. One of the most disappointing prospects in recent memory for me. Advanced command in high school and it seemingly got worse as his pro career went along. I thought at worst he would be a late inning reliever.
EdwinsParrot Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2020 Posted August 9, 2020 the Vlad and grichuk abs..yikes
DigitalRock Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2020 Posted August 9, 2020 Too many strikeouts man, boring.

In terms of stuff, pedigree, and problems he is basically at the same stage as Touki Toussaint, who just dummied Toronto.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2020 Posted August 9, 2020 We might only get one week of late season Grichuk this year.

BlueRocky Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2020 Posted August 9, 2020 He threw 135.2 in 16, 150.1 in 17 and 174.2 in 18. He had injury issues last year and early in his minor league days. He's still only 26 years old. He hasn't done it in the majors. I'm not saying he CAN'T be a good starter, I'm saying Borucki in the bullpen is not the worst idea based on his injury history. A lights-out lefty multi-inning reliever has value too, it's not a death sentence.
Slade Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2020 Posted August 9, 2020 I'm thrilled to see these starters actually getting multi innings, no reason to limit them to 1 inning per appearance.
DigitalRock Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2020 Posted August 9, 2020 Kyle Drabek V 2.0 Seemed to have a s***** attitude too.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2020 Posted August 9, 2020 Hatch is racking up the swings and misses. Vlad having himself an inning defensively.
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2020 Posted August 9, 2020 defensive first baseman vladdy guerrero
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2020 Author Posted August 9, 2020 Vlad's made 3 really good plays this game, good to see.
DigitalRock Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2020 Posted August 9, 2020 Vladdy for Gold Glove Golden Chicken.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2020 Posted August 9, 2020 They said Hatch's changeup was the key to him turning it up a notch but his slider has been a problem for hitters.
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2020 Posted August 9, 2020 I'm thinkin' pitch out first pitch here...
DigitalRock Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2020 Posted August 9, 2020 Holy crap Moreland can F off.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2020 Posted August 9, 2020 Son of a bitch. f***ing Moreland again.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2020 Author Posted August 9, 2020 lol... Faaaaaaack!!! Moreland torched us again.
TheDragon Verified Member Posted August 9, 2020 Posted August 9, 2020 Team can't score more than 3 runs, can go f*** themselves... also why does Hatch get 2 innings but not Burucki?? wtf
bones10 Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2020 Posted August 9, 2020 we've been blown out once all year, it would be really nice if the sticks can do something for once .
goldbug103 Verified Member Posted August 9, 2020 Posted August 9, 2020 I blame Yamaguchi. Difference in this game: Red Sox 1st baseman can hit homeruns. Ours can’t get the ball out of the infield. This team needs better production out of 1st base. Your 1st baseman can’t OPS 650 and expect to compete.
KevinGregg Verified Member Posted August 9, 2020 Posted August 9, 2020 Back to back errors by the pitcher today. Still not on the level we need to be, but lots of things are starting to click. We need the team to take a few more steps in the right direction before the end of september
Arjun Nimmala Vancouver Canadians - A+ SS It's been slow going at the start of the season for Nimmala, but on Sunday, he was 3-for-5 with his 3rd home run and 3 RBI. Explore Arjun Nimmala News >
