Carlos Danger Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2020 Posted August 9, 2020 It might not be the worst move though, Borucki has extensive injury history. If he can be a 2-3 IP Lefty BP weapon every 3 games that's still very valuable. Either way, his stuff has absolutely ticked up in the bullpen, which doesn't always happen (see Sean Reid-Foley). We're also really short on lefthanded relievers, while having a huge waitlist of 6th starter types. I think he led the team or was tied for QS in 2018. To me a pitcher who gives you a solid chance at a QS every outing in this day and age is more valuable then a lefty specialist if it were and either or scenario..
DigitalRock Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2020 Posted August 9, 2020 No reason to remove Borucki there.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2020 Author Posted August 9, 2020 He can have that terrible nickname in a bullpen role. lol
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2020 Posted August 9, 2020 Aceukci wasting away in the bullpen as a loogy... Loogy's don't really exist anymore. Not really.

Right, but he's also never tossed more than 100 IP. There are real durability and health issues since we drafted him in 2012.
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2020 Posted August 9, 2020 For whatever reason, they don't think Borucki is very good. Someone should explain to charlie Borucki has struck out 9 through 4 innings and only allowed one hit and no runs.

And he fell apart physically after that. Hes not going to a lefty specialist. He’s going to be a great reliever period. The current manager is stupid. The next one will figure it out.
bones10 Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2020 Posted August 9, 2020 We have one of the best bullpens in the league so far early this year. Unbelievable.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2020 Posted August 9, 2020 This is complete and utter dominance from the starters-pitching-as-relievers corps.
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2020 Posted August 9, 2020 I would be forced to change it to Saveurcki.... I didn't think it was possible to have a worse nickname than Aceucki. Congratulations.
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2020 Posted August 9, 2020 Our young pitching is ridiculous.
Plat Verified Member Posted August 9, 2020 Posted August 9, 2020 Bullpen is insane right now, add a healthy Giles wow
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2020 Posted August 9, 2020 This bullpen has been very boner inducing lately.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted August 9, 2020 Posted August 9, 2020 This is complete and utter dominance from the starters-pitching-as-relievers corps. Love it Bodes well for the next few years
DigitalRock Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2020 Posted August 9, 2020 Bullpen has been crazy good, who'd have thunk it.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2020 Posted August 9, 2020 Hatch is a stud Sean Reid Foley is done?
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2020 Author Posted August 9, 2020 This is complete and utter dominance from the starters-pitching-as-relievers corps. Lights out.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted August 9, 2020 Posted August 9, 2020 Bullpen has been crazy good, who'd have thunk it. Above expectations Offense has been below it
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2020 Posted August 9, 2020 If only Montoyo didn’t let Giles throw 15 pitches hurt we might still have him dominating as well.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2020 Posted August 9, 2020 Hatch is a stud Sean Reid Foley is done? Forgot he even existed.
Ray Verified Member Posted August 9, 2020 Posted August 9, 2020 Hatch is a stud Sean Reid Foley is done? We don’t say that name around these parts.
Carlos Danger Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2020 Posted August 9, 2020 Come on, we should be able to light up Barnes.. It is only a matter of time..
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2020 Posted August 9, 2020 Hatch is a stud Sean Reid Foley is done? Sean Reid-Foley's stuff hasn't even ticked up in the bullpen. I think it's fair to say we won't be seeing him for a while.
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2020 Posted August 9, 2020 Right, but he's also never tossed more than 100 IP. There are real durability and health issues since we drafted him in 2012. He threw 135.2 in 16, 150.1 in 17 and 174.2 in 18. He had injury issues last year and early in his minor league days. He's still only 26 years old.
Plat Verified Member Posted August 9, 2020 Posted August 9, 2020 These dudes swinging at everything lol
