I havnt seen 1 person blame Biggio for the play at 1st. In reality he waited too long on that play. The pitcher got there late but he still beat the runner. The ball should have been in his glove already and runner was out. You dont throw the the ball after the pitcher reaches the bag.

The whole point of the runner on 2nd is to avoid long extra innings. I think all of the games so far have ended in the 10th.

 

Oh well, Yamaguchi hasn't looked good in any spring training or summer camp sample size, and he looked bad here as well. The rule likely didn't change the result of this game.

 

If Montoya is still managing in 2021, then Shatkins deserves criticism. He's fine for a rebuilding/tanking team, but if you actually want to win, hire someone better. A lot better.
