Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2020 Posted July 21, 2020 No kidding. On the plus side, at least we get him while he's young, cheap, and healthy. If he balloons like Prince Fielder, then don't extend him and let some other team get the albatross contract Yup if he doesn’t get himself in shape eventually I would be terrified to lock him up even at just age 27 or 28 because his body will fall apart in his early 30’s. I’m still holding out hope he can do. Josh Naylor was a fatty and now he looks great. Just takes discipline and an effort. Lets hope he cares. If I was him I would take the position change as motivation.

BlueRocky Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2020 Author Posted July 21, 2020 Audio back for Nate Pearson thank god. Edit: 95mph 1st pitch, send him down for a week! 2nd Edit: 98 mph & 97 mph second and third pitch. Carry on.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2020 Posted July 21, 2020 Vlad looks to be in better shape, probably same weight though He looks worse than last year which is disappointing because in Spring he was looking much better. When you can visibly see someones belly fat that’s a really bad sign.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2020 Posted July 21, 2020 Oh my god it's Dennis Eckersley. I take back everything I said.
BlueRocky Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2020 Author Posted July 21, 2020 Filthy 89 mph changeup after 98 mph FB
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2020 Posted July 21, 2020 Love me some change up back to back.
BlueRocky Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2020 Author Posted July 21, 2020 No need to dick around with Devers
Carlos Danger Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2020 Posted July 21, 2020 Anyone else's signal flashing/screen flashing on the broadcast, or just me?
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2020 Posted July 21, 2020 Blessing in disguise if he has a rough start. Makes the decision to keep him down easy : )
BlueRocky Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2020 Author Posted July 21, 2020 FB control is rusty, lowered the gas to 94-96 just to touch the strike zone.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2020 Posted July 21, 2020 Sitting 94-95 so far. Has hit 98 once and 96 a couple times.
BlueRocky Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2020 Author Posted July 21, 2020 Way too much plate vs Bogaerts. edit: ouch center-cut to Moreland.
baubau Verified Member Posted July 21, 2020 Posted July 21, 2020 Pearson's tits getting lit. At least Atkins will have a "he's not ready, see game vs Boston" to keep him down for a week and we won't see as much bitching.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2020 Posted July 21, 2020 Hes throwing fastballs right down the middle to try to get into the zone. And yea that’s what happens.
BlueRocky Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2020 Author Posted July 21, 2020 Good movement and location on that 87 mph slider to Vazquez. edit: 86mph slider up & away K on Vazquez
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2020 Posted July 21, 2020 Pearson lookin like Sanchez 2.0 tonight
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2020 Posted July 21, 2020 Pearson lookin like Sanchez 2.0 tonight Sanchez wouldn't have gotten these strikeouts.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2020 Posted July 21, 2020 I mean that was a horrible slider but sure give him a gift lol.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2020 Posted July 21, 2020 Good movement and location on that 87 mph slider to Vazquez Wait what that pitch sailed high into the zone and barely caught a corner if it ever did lol
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2020 Posted July 21, 2020 Everyone lost their little boners? Stupid plan to try and save the breaking stuff for the second inning vs the top of the Sox line up.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2020 Posted July 21, 2020 Wait what that pitch sailed high into the zone and barely caught a corner if it ever did lol He was referring to the initial one which garnered a swing and miss.
