Guys is scoring position extra innings is intrigue and excitement really. Doesn’t matter how they come home

I agree and I've been a proponent of this rule for many years now. I think you are going to find that more teams do not bother with small ball in this situation. Maybe the home team if the away does not score. You also are still going to see several games go into the 13th.

Yes, I agree. I implied that tie games are the way to go here.

Idk. Guess it depends when you mean. But say you’re rooting for your home team and they score a run(s) to tie the game in bottom of 9th or 10th, crowd going crazy. Ok, let’s call it a tie and go home. Idk

Happens sometimes in youth sports when there’s time limits and it sucks balls

We are in the launch angle, exit velo era of baseball. Most teams are not going to bunt with a runner on 2nd in extra innings. You might see the home team do it as mentioned if the team in the top of the inning doesn't score, but beyond that, most teams are going to try for a 2 run HR. In fact it would be smarter for the road team to try to score as many runs as possible, so bunting the runner over would be pointless as the home team could do the exact same thing.

Count me in as being fine with that rule change. I don't need to see a 17 inning game where half the pitching staff has to be demoted to the minors afterwards. This isn't 1973. Torch all the traditional BS that just makes the game longer and more boring to the average fan.

August 31st trade deadline. If we're 5 games over .500 at that point, I say we go all in!

I don't even get the debate on the DH, pitchers don't hit and are saved from some stupid injury, 2 way players like Ohtani, etc... can still hit. Owners should love it. As for the players more jobs. It should be a no-brainer.

Why stop there? Don't let catchers or shortstops hit. Or better yet, have an offensive team and a defensive team.

Put a bunch of fat, old, slow unathletic *******s in for everyone.

Now the real challenge begins. Players are going to test positive how are they going to handle it.

Since teams face their own division opponents 10 times each, I wonder if they will do a pair of 5 game series' or spread it out more. For example, if the Jays are the road team going to Yankee Stadium, just get through all 5 games there in one series, and be done with it. Seems pointless to spread them out more as it will just add more travel than necessary.

I can totally see the Jays getting screwed over by scheduling this year. They will have to play the majority of their games against Boston, Tampa Bay and New York, then they'll likely end up getting screwed over and having to play a bunch of games against the Braves and Phillies as well.

So teams are playing out of their home ballparks with travel across the country? Am I wrong?

Wtf?

This is going to be a disaster lol

Why is every sport using hub cities but baseball?

And why is no one talking about this? What am I missing?

50% of the schedule against Boston, New York and Tampa Bay

I'm looking forward to a series where we face the likes of Martin Perez and Ryan Weber, followed by a poor bullpen. That staff is good hittin'

Boston kinda sucks. Not sure why facing them is such an issue.

Well, you're overreacting. It doesn't matter.

Honestly, I thought they were.

MLB has done such a terrible job marketing their players that players could easily wander around the cities unnoticed. Toronto should be taking a hard no stance to lifting rules to allow them to play here.
