Yeah, I dont get it. Wont play today but we'll make it up in a double-header tomorrow. If It's just going to be an empty PC thing, why not just express things some other way

This is probably too political, but the entire world has been talking about racial issues since George Floyd was killed. We’ve been moving in the direction of racial equality for many decades, and if anything is going to expedite that movement it’s the giant protests that have been all over the news for months. It’s very hard for me to accept that postponing a ball game today and instead playing a doubleheader tomorrow is going to result in meaningful change.

If NBA/MLB players cancel their season, I think that keeps the conversation going and maybe some real change can be discussed but not playing one day and making it up the next is so obviously an empty PC gesture that accomplishes nothing. Wouldn't it be something if they pushed their own sponsors to stop manufacturing merchandise in sweat shops in China? Wouldn't it be more powerful if the push came from something that would hurt their own pocket books?
