TheDragon Verified Member Posted July 25, 2020 Posted July 25, 2020 Man the Blue Jays young core makes me salivate, and I don't mean that in a sexual way (or do I?)
BlueRocky Old-Timey Member Posted July 25, 2020 Posted July 25, 2020 And half our kids are still in the minors.
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted July 25, 2020 Posted July 25, 2020 You do. And there's nothing wrong with that.
WILLIEUPSHAW Verified Member Posted July 25, 2020 Posted July 25, 2020 Can we not get into this s***. Politics is such a divisive topic. I think everyone would prefer if its just not apart of any Baseball thread. Just want to chill and talk about Baseball. Yeah I wish MLB would have realized the divisiveness they were wading into totally voluntarily when they decided to go full on
WILLIEUPSHAW Verified Member Posted July 25, 2020 Posted July 25, 2020 1. See political post about baseball 2. Respond about baseball 3. Or don't respond 4. You are really upset and feel the need to respond...go to twitter/Facebook and respond. I just want to play poker, gamble, enjoy sport. BTS just wants to chop up dead hookers and watch baseball. Deadpool doesn't drink anymore so I am not sure what he wants to do when he is not watching baseball. None of us want to have to babysit this board 24/7 and I sure as f*** don't want to have to explain the rules over and over again. It was warned that there will be lines that are blurry. I try to avoid banning when they are. I gave JG44 a day because he asked for a banning. Asking for a banning will always get you a banning. That isn't clear...the revert back to to my response to Meta. My board, my decisions! Think like a married man. Happy wife happy life ********. If you say something to your wife that she doesn't like there are consequences. Well i am cutting you off If the lines are blurry, then you pretty much by definition will be either trying to explain the rules over and over or having a lot of people very confused.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted July 26, 2020 Posted July 26, 2020 If the lines are blurry, then you pretty much by definition will be either trying to explain the rules over and over or having a lot of people very confused. does your post have baseball related content. You are on the right track. I just edited your last post. That should help clear it up
TheHurl Site Manager Posted July 26, 2020 Posted July 26, 2020 So where are the Jays reserve roster heading to? No reason why they won't be in Toronto
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted July 26, 2020 Posted July 26, 2020 Yeah I wish MLB would have realized the divisiveness they were wading into totally voluntarily when they decided to go full on They are wading into inclusiveness. I'm not sure why people are uncomfortable with that, but this discussion is probably for a different forum.

TheHurl Site Manager Posted July 26, 2020 Posted July 26, 2020 Thanks Jonn. There is no bigger punishment than heading to Rochester. That's awful
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted July 26, 2020 Posted July 26, 2020 In more important news, Charles Montoyo was asked about why he used Gaviglio in the 8th, and his answer was that he believes Gaviglio is a high leverage reliever. Not kidding. This guy is a moron.
WILLIEUPSHAW Verified Member Posted July 26, 2020 Posted July 26, 2020 does your post have baseball related content. You are on the right track. I just edited your last post. That should help clear it up No it does not clear anything up at all. For one thing, now the remaining post after you edit doesn't even make sense. Also, who is to say what is political and what is a social issue with a political aspect to it and that also is relevant to baseball. You are walking a line that I doubt will have your stated effect of increasing usership here. But like you said, it's your sandbox, so you make the rules (even though they are murky as hell).

Not kidding. This guy is a moron. Yeah that's pretty inexcusable to say the least. I recall in one of the Boston games that Gavilglio was being mentioned by Montoyo as a high leverage reliever and didn't think that could possibly be true.

Not kidding. This guy is a moron. I looked at this closer and with Romano, Bass, Dolis, Giles and Cole having been used already (between games 1 and 2), and with Hatch and Kay scheduled for a 'piggyback start tomorrow' the options available at that point for fresh BP guys were : Gaviglio, Moran, Waguespack and Yamaguchi. I would have preferred Waguespack or Yamaguchi, especially the latter.

Not kidding. This guy is a moron. There is a strong possibility with a very short training camp that they weren't willing to pitch guys back to back and risk injury. With them needing hatch and Kay tomorrow, they had used Cole so that left Gaviglio, Yamaguchi, Moran and Wag. Now he could have been honest and said going into the 8th I was down to 4 garbage relievers and I wanted to puke, but backing his player and saying he's a high leverage guy was probably the right thing to say. There's a game tomorrow. Why is it you make zero posts in the first game thread and you wait until things implode in the second game before posting?

TheDragon Verified Member Posted July 26, 2020 Posted July 26, 2020 With the season only 60 games, some craftier managers are going to think of better ways to win... just thinking but like using your closer for 2 innings more often

Bobthe4th Old-Timey Member Posted July 26, 2020 Author Posted July 26, 2020 So where are the Jays reserve roster heading to? No reason why they won't be in Toronto Is that a joke?
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 26, 2020 Posted July 26, 2020 Is that a joke? Why would it be a joke, they held camp here already? It's a moot point now that they are heading to Rochester.

TheHurl Site Manager Posted July 26, 2020 Posted July 26, 2020 Is that a joke? What Spanky said? Everyone was in Toronto already and for me it would make sense to have these guys with our front office. I understand not wanting to put them through another 14 day quarantine though
King Old-Timey Member Posted July 26, 2020 Posted July 26, 2020 Drury activated and McKinney optioned.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 26, 2020 Posted July 26, 2020 Drury activated and McKinney optioned. I understand why the Jays gave Drury a shot back when we acquired him, but this is getting old.

Cole could have stayed or you bring in Bass who only threw 17 pitches the previous day. Nobody can throw 2 days in a row? f*** that. I guess he can't public say "you know, you're right - I misused Gavilio who's f***ing s*** and better suited for long relief/mop up duty. I won't make that mistake again" - but f*** me. You can't say you think he's a high leverage guy. I'd be temped to fire him and make Dante the f***ing manager after s*** like that.
