Laika Community Moderator Posted December 30, 2019 Posted December 30, 2019 Beta dick* Not sure if this post is supposed to be funny, but you ordered a wife off Slovenian Kijiji and then she just used you to get to America before predictably divorcing you and that is f***ing hilarious. Pure alpha move, dude.

Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted December 30, 2019 Posted December 30, 2019 Mr. ALL STAR Alfredo Griffin! (Speaking of Wins Above Replacements...) An all-star with a .546 OPS and a grand total of 14 extra base hits. Amazing.

Someone (Trammel I believe but too tired to spend the 30 seconds required to verify) went to the game but was injured. Griffin had been invited to attend as Garcia's guest, so when Trammel or whoever bowed out, the AL was SOL, left with no choice but include Alfredo, who was one of my favorites as a kid. I was so mad when we traded him to make room for Tony, not recognizing as a 10 yo what Fernandez was going to be.

I recall after McGriff (my first fav Jay player; 19 in my username is my fav number which became so because of him) was traded for Carter I was depressed for days, and it took until October 23, 1993 until I truly accepted the trade (well, at least that portion of the trade... Alomar I took a liking to quickly).
