Starting to look like McGuire is taking over the reigns as the main catcher. And although small sample has been both great behind and at the plate. Danny Jansen has solid defensively. But a disaster at the plate the vast majority of the season. Its a pretty interesting development considering the minor league numbers. For now I’m glad to see McGuire behind the plate more often than not.

It's probably just statistical noise, but he also seems to be someone who makes heavy use of stats. It's possible the increased information at the major league level is helping him at the plate too.
