The lineup full of prospects and youth is at least going to be fun to watch the rest of the year, even if the pitching is going to be ass. Even Hernandez in CF is looking somewhat intriguing now.

Seems Vlad's always getting the rough outside strike call. No idea what that's all about.

Why use Hudson in a 9-1 game? It's like Montoyo wants to kill his value.

 

Very few other options. Most guys were either used in this game, or had pitched 3 out of 4 or the last 2. They probably wanted to keep someone (Gaviglio) in reserve in case he's needed for bulk innings tomorrow.

It's one inning in a 9-1 game, Derek Law or Tim Mayza could of been used without issue. Goes with the one arm on the block.

Law pitched the last 2 games, and 3 of the last 4. Mayza has thrown in 3 of the last 4.
